This is my first story that I posted. My friend and I wrote this a couple of years ago for fun; it's a spin off of twilight, not exactly twilight, just the same characters, totally new plot line. So all the credit with the characters and such goes to Stephanie Meyers. None of those were my idea. I hope you guys like it, it's kinda boring in the beginning but its gets exciting fast. Please vote and comment if you would like to. Thanks
Chapter 1
The dreamer sighed, relaxing further back against the car seat, eyes remaining shut. Her skin seemed to glow in the darkness, stark white against pitch black. A pair of wire frames had slid down her nose, her hair falling in messy curls around her child like face. Her breathing was a slow as it was deep giving it the appearance she had actually fallen asleep. Her sister was staring out the window, skin a shade darker then her sisters, her crystal blue painted eyes focused on the blurring scenery. Her long dark hair seemed to shelter her from the world. When the car finally pulled to a stop neither girl moved. Though they were parked in front of a rather normal looking home. Finally the older one turned shaking the other who's silvery grey eyes slowly opened. Their eyes meet for a moment before they both shifted from the car. A pair of twin black suit cases rested on the curb waiting for them. Their backpacks both worn and tired rested on top of the suitcases.
"There you are Ms. Cullen, you and your sister are here. Mr. and Mrs. Montgomery are waiting for you." The driver smiled, brown eyes twinkling.
"Thank you Mr. Stevens." The one with silvery eyes spoke, her voice quiet and musical even and cold, humbly bone numbing cold. Mr. Stevens simply smiled and watched the girls approach the house, casually wondering if the big one was slow. She suddenly turned eyes narrowed and flashing.
"I'm not slow, you pathetic human." Her voice echoed through his skull, her mouth never moving.
"Sister don't mess with the man to much. Come the Montgomery's are waiting for us."
The older one snorted shaking her head as the youngest knocked on the door. The door quickly opened and the girls were shuffled inside, the blank look on Mr. Stevens face quickly forgotten.
"Oh, we're so happy girls." Sarah Montgomery gushed, "I'm Sarah and this is my husband Dean. You must be Cassandra and Victoria." Her brown eyes doe like and excited. Tumbles of brown waves fell over her shoulder. Dean smiled, green eyes as normal as his messy brown hair cut.
"Yes, I'm Tori and this is my sister cassie. Pardon cassie she's very quite." Tori's oddly formal tone matched her posture well. Both sisters' eyes were darting around the house and suspicion was radiating from them. But neither Dean nor Sarah were surprised they had been warned that both the girls were troubled, they apparently were found on the road, running from their last home. Both had come to thee agreement to let the girls come to them. More freedom the better was their opinion. For now it was one step at a time.
"You girls must be exhausted from your long trip. You may go to bed; Dean and I took the day off tomorrow to help you settle in." Sarah smiled, wanting to soothe their restless souls.
"That would be lovely." Tori bowed her head
"What's with you" that's lovely" since when are you polite." Cassys voice echoed in Toris head, but she didn't jump, didn't blink. Instead, allowed dean to lead them to their bedroom, taking their suit cases and bags with them.
"Sharing a room is alright." Dean asked his voice hesitant.
"Yes, thank you, were used to sharing a room." Tori's smile looked kind, but there was a hint of superiority, of mocking beneath it. He nodded and smiled as both girls slid into the lavender room
"You'll be alright." He asked, torn between leaving them and coddling them.
"We'll be alright we just wish to sleep." Tori smiled looking around the new bedroom. She suddenly whipped around with an apologetic look on her face. "Oh my God we should be visiting."
"No, no its okay Tori, you and cassie should get some sleep. Sarah and I will see you two in the morning. Goodnight."
"Goodnight dean." Tori watched him go, the door closing softly behind him. With that Tori moved flopping down on the bed.
"So what do you think of them." Cassie rarely spoke aloud, preferring to keep silent or speak to others through their minds.
"I'm sure you probably know already." Tori answered. "But they seem worthy and not literally sis, maybe we should stay here longer."
"Why?"
"I don't know it's just a feeling about here, that maybe we belong...."
"VICTORIA! You know that we don't belong here. Their human and we aren't." Cassie's voice boomed around inside Tori's head.
"I know that Cassie, I know, I can't explain it, but you have to feel it too." Tori begged looking at her sister, but Cassandra simply turned her back on her, fishing out her Ipod and ignoring her sister. Tori sighed, pulling off her glasses and setting them on the bed side table. She sighed again, allowing her eyes, no pure silver rather then the tinted grey they became when she wore her glasses, become more unfocused as she fell into a dream like state.
After a while Cassie rose turning out the lights and changing into mesh shorts and a loose t-shirt. Drawing the curtains closed, she noticed Tori still in her state and still with her clothes from yesterday. She felt the familiar rush as she entered her sisters "home".
The sky was a light blue, the temperature pleasant, the trees in the midst of death. It was the perfect fall day, only one that Tori could create.
"Why are you here Cassandra? Tori's musical voice floated down from the trees. Cassie looked up to she her sister perched in the tree, smiling like the cat who ate the canary.
"Because you're here and you haven't changed yet, and if Dean and Sarah come in they will get suspicious." Cassie thought.
"Cassie why must you refuse to speak?" Tori laughed, "Does the beauty of my home not awe you? Or is it simply so beautiful that it takes your voice away?" Tori's giggles filled the world.
"You know why I choose not to speak."
"Oh cassie if you're going to be a pessimist, then I fear that I shall exile you anyway. I heard your warning and heeded it. Now leave me be." Tori turned, silver eyes alit with molten fire as she pushed Cassie from her world.
She landed back into her own body with a audible thump. Cassie sighed; she couldn't understand why or how Tori pulled her into her mind. But she could only do that with her, everyone else she had to project the image to. And they were never as real as they were in her mind. Shaking her head, she settled down waiting for the morning to come.
