Girl please
Hey guys :) So now that THAT'S (urgh) over, I'd like to introduce you to an absolutely amazing Wattpad magazine called FWOY, or Future Words of Yesterday. Besides their spiffy name, they've got an amazing staff of users who inform you of everything from campaigns (FreetheLGBT, TalkthePOC, WomanUp, ChemnotCharacter etc) and world news (including terrorism) to great movies and music the editor's been listening to. This is awesome because it addresses real life issues affecting us today, like ISIS and Feminism and so on, and also manages to feature stories and poems of Wattpadders here. But that's STILL not all-- they also teach language/coding classes and give advice and tips for writing and life in general. Anime fans? There's a whole section for you guys. Horror or Mystery your thing? Two Spoons of Grey Matter and The Creepy Column have got it down, from the Bermuda Triangle to A mysterious radio station in Russia. in short, this magazine does it all while looking fabulous.
I highly recommend giving it a look!

(And for those of you wondering, I wasn't asked to endorse them at all-- I just happen to think it's positively incredible :) )

BUT ENOUGH OF MY PROMOS:
I've gone on this super long rant thingy to tell you that this story is basically part of a contest for the March edition. Their newest issue will be themed around International Women's Day for the UN, which takes place March 8th and basically celebrates achievements of women and gender equality, mostly by giving women yellow mimosa flowers (hence the story title).
Also check out all this sweeeeeeet multimedia guys; I've never felt more professional.
Happy (early) International Women's Day!

Yellow Mimosa
Historical Fiction*Made for the March 2016 contest of FWOY magazine, an amazing piece of work (that I now work at ;D). In which an ordinary Rosie receives some yellow mimosas and realizes that maybe she's a little less ordinary than she thought.
