Together At Last (Yu X Mika)

Rescue Mission Part 2 Chapter 16

Yu couldn't believe this he didn't want to believe this. He gritted his teeth as he balled his hands up into fists."Guren...I know your in there! Don't let her control you!..come back you idiot!..there..there are people here who miss you and want you back!" Shinya looked at Guren with pleading eyes in hopes that Yu's words would get through to him. Mahiru chuckled."I'm afraid that's not possible. Guren won't be coming back." Yu growls and gets ready to punch once more."Shut up dammit! Give Guren back!!" He swings his fist but Mahiru catches it easily.

"Now now don't get so fired up yet. Put your rage into better use after we awaken your Seraph genes." Mahiru smirks as she pulls out a pill from the pants pocket."Now then lets get you to swallow this shall we?" Yu tried to pull away but to no avail. Mika rushes in and forcibly pulled Yu away from Mahiru."I don't think so. I won't let you hurt Yu-chan." Mika holds him closely."Yu-chan..your safer within my arms. I'll protect you, I promise I won't let you become a Seraph." Yu felt touched hearing those words."Thanks Mika..but I can still fight.." Mika looks down at Yu."Its to dangerous..that man...or rather the woman controlling him is targeting you..she will do whatever is necessary for you to swallow that pill. I will not allow that to happen."

Yu understood."..Okay..but..I can still fight Kureto..he doesn't have any of those pills..i don't think anyways.." Mika held Yu closer."I won't take that risk..Yu-chan.." Mika glares at Mahiru as she smirks at Mika."Your very annoying, Vampire. You are an obstacle that must be eliminated immediately." Mahiru draws out her sword and attacks pointing the blade at Mika's throat. Mika easily dodged as he held Yu. Mika had his blade out with the thorns digging into his skin. He mutters to the sword to drink his blood and attacked with the intent to kill. Mika made sure to shield Yu's eyes as he landed a strike on Mahiru. Blood splattered onto the floor,and the smell was intoxicating. The Shinoa squad gawked at the site of Mahiru or rather Guren with serious injuries. Mahiru looked confused and didn't understand what was happening. Kureto as well was just as confused as to why Mahiru allowed herself to be wounded so easily by a mere vampire.

"What the hell?? Guren stop it! It's not time for you to wake up!" Mahiru fell to the floor and curled up into a fetal position as she struggled to contain Guren."I won't let you harm Yu!!" Guren screamed out in defiance. Yu moved Mika's hand that was shielding his eyes from Gurens pitiful state and from all the blood. He gasped at the sight and the struggle Guren was going through."Guren!!" Yu called out as he got out of Mika's arms and rushed toward him. Mika reached his hands out to Yu."Yu-chan wait!" Yu rushed to Gurens side as he was suddenly silent and bleeding on the floor. "G-Guren..Guren?..." Yu placed his hands lightly on Gurens shoulders and shook him lightly.

Suddenly it was dead silent in the room. Kureto was speechless as well. Mika watched closely and carefully to Gurens actions. He was anxious to what Guren or rather Mahiru could be possibly planning. Guren coughed up blood suddenly and weakly looked up at Yu."...Oi, baka Yu..you okay?.." he coughs up a bit more. Yu helps Guren sit up."Guren is that you?..Y-Your not possessed right?.." Guren glared weakly at Yu."Heh if it wasn't me you'd be in deep shit.." Yu weakly smiled."Your an idiot to..your all hurt now.. Cuz you protected me and our family.." Guren chuckled slightly but ended up coughing more."Hehe..yea..that's right..cuz I care baka.." A few tears slipped from Yu's eyes and landed onto Gurens cheeks.

Yu's eyes widen at the injury Guren had received. He looked at everyone with desperation."Help him!! He's bleeding to death!..give me bandages! Anything to help him please!" Shinoa rushed over to Yu's side and pulled out some bandages she had kept in a bag she was carrying. She quickly got to work as she patched up his injury. Shinoa looks at Yu."Yu-san...Kureto is the last one we need to deal with...he's a crafty one..please keep a close eye on him as I patch up Guren." Yu looked at Kureto and glared at him. The whole squad ran over to Yu's side and had their weapons ready to fight Kureto. Kureto smirked slightly as he held his sword Raimeiki firmly."It seems I'll have to end your lives myself." Yu drew out his sword Asuramaru. "Shut up you bastard. I'm gonna make you regret hurting Guren!"

Yu strikes first and managed to cut him on his arm. Yoichi aimed his bow Gekkōin at him as Yu cut him. He shot his arrow when Kureto let his guard down. It seemed he underestimated his opponents to much to the point he was careless. He gasped as the arrow shot him through his side. Mitsuba used her giant axe to surround Kureto with her blue demons. Kimizuki draws his twin blades and strikes him through his stomach. Kureto coughed up blood and was completely taken aback by the shinoa squads teamwork. He grinned slightly and glared at Kimizuki."Hah..*cough* ...You brats have exceeded my expectations.. *cough*..."Kimizuki glares down at Kureto."Damn right." He spoke firmly. Kureto smirked a bit more as blood dripped down his chin. "You may have protected Yu from becoming a Seraph..haha..but what about your sister Mirai?" Kimizuki's eyes widen."What..WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SISTER!!!?" Kimizuki pushed his blades deeper into Kuretos wound.

"Stop it!! I won't let you kill him!!" A woman was heard from behind. Kimizuki practically death glared at Kureto not paying any attention to the person behind. Everyone else looked to see who had yelled. It was Aoi Sangu, the right hand woman of Kureto Hiragi."Big Sis..." Mitsuba spoke softly. "I won't let you kill him!" Aoi yelled and drew her sword as she charged toward Kimizuki. Mitsuba quickly took action and blocked Aoi's strike. "Stop it! Why are you trying to save him?! He doesn't care who dies or lives! He uses anybody he can as pawns and then throws them away! He doesn't even show concern for you!!" Mitsuba screamed as her vision was blurred by tears.

Aoi also seemed to have tears blocking her vision."You don't understand Mitsuba!! Let me threw or I'll cut you down along with that boy!!" Mitsuba gripped her axe."I won't allow you to do that!! He's apart of my family so I won't let you hurt Kimizuki!!" Mitsuba pushed Aoi back with her axe. Kimizuki had blood lust filled in his eyes. He wanted Kureto dead at his feet."You'll die for hurting Mirai..but before I kill you..tell me where she is." Kimizuki spoke in a monotoned voice. Yoichi was worried and scared of this new personality Kimizuki was showing. Kureto chuckled a lil."Go find her yourself.." Kimizuki growled and made the wound larger in Kuretos stomach. Kureto was dying faster. Aoi saw the blood pouring out like water falls."NOO!!!" She screamed out and used all of her strength to push Mitsuba aside. Yu quickly catches Mitsuba.

Aoi rushed to Kureto and hit Kimizuki with the hilt of her katana to his side. Kimizuki gasped and fell to the floor. She looked at the grotesque wound kureto had inherited from Kimizuki. The twin blades, Kiseki-o were still embedded inside of Kureto. Aoi was about to pull out the blades but stopped when Kureto held her hand."Don't..Aoi..I'm finished..at least..let me see your face before I die.. " Aoi cried heavily as tears dropped onto Kuretos cheeks and dripped down to his lips. Kureto holds her hands with the strength he had left. "This..is the first time I've seen..you cry.." Aoi leaned down closer to Kureto."I don't want you to die..please. .I -I can't live without you.." Kureto smiled."Your going to live. Thats my last order. Live for me Aoi." Aoi gritted her teeth and sobbed into Kuretos chest. She lifted her face and placed a deep kiss against Kureto's lips. Mitsuba watched feeling helpless and weak. She felt awful now that she knew her sisters feelings toward Kureto.

As she pulled away he smiled up at her."Now..Aoi..kill me..I want you to be the one who finishes me off..pull these blades out and then I'll die.." Aoi shook her head side to side but she knew he wanted this. After a few moments of hesitation she did as he asked and killed him with the finishing blow. He lied dead on the floor in a puddle of blood. It was over. The most dangerous people were killed off. The rescue mission was half way completed.
