Finally, the awaited day has came. It was the wedding day. The sun blooms and the birds are chipping. But today wasn't the same day as the other days, so, Jeonghan got up his bed and stumbled slowly to his Bathroom. He checked him self in the mirror. There was no eye bags or swelling from last night's sleep. After doing his morning routine, he walked downstairs. Everyone seemed to be rushing.
"Mom?"
Jeonghan called out to a woman that seemed to be giving orders to the maids. She turned to look at Jeonghan.
"Oh, darling~~ you are awake! Good day to you"
She said, pecking his cheeks. Jeonghan smiled at his mom. He looked around and saw a group of people setting up something that looks like a dressing table.
"Mom, who are they?"
He asked, eyeing that group of people. He mom followed his eyes.
"Oh, them? They are for your make up....oh, don't worry, no dark eye shadows or blushes or red lipsticks, Just a light makeover for you to look perfect"
She replied, stroking Jeonghan's hair. Jeonghan nodded. He knew that his mom wanted all the best things for him.
"Go have breakfast darling, I prepared some pancakes for you in the dinner"
She said as she shooed Jeonghan into the kitchen. He chuckled at his mom's childishness. But what surprised his was, when his eyes locked with Seungcheol's, who was holding a banquet of white roses in the dining room.
"By the way, I didn't prepared your pancakes"
They heard Mrs.Yoon yelled from the hallways. Jeonghan walked to wards Seungcheol, who gave him a sweet smile. Seungcheol handed him the banquet as he kissed Jeonghan on his forehead.
"Seungcheol-ah....I don't know what to say..I am so happy"
Jeonghan said as he looked down at his own feet. Seungcheol smiles and tilted the latter's chin up, making them lock eyes.
"You don't have to say anything. Cause, in the next two hours, I am gonna have you, all to myself"
He said, staring into Jeonghan's deep brown orbs. He leaned closer, caressing the other's cheek as he closed the gap between them. Jeonghan smiled into the kiss, and felt strong arms wrapping themselves around his waist. Jeonghan pulled away soon.
"I love you~"
About two hours later, they were already at the church. Jeonghan was sitting in the bride/groom's dressing room. He fiddled with his fingers as he checked his white tuxedo in the mirror. Jeonghan flinched as arms wrapped around his waist. He sighed in relief as he saw Seungcheol resting his chin on his shoulder.
"Why are you nervous?"
He asked as he inhaled Jeonghan's scent. Jeonghan hummed.
"Today is our wedding day....I can't help but be worried. We will never know what will wait for us in the future, right?"
He asked. Seungcheol spanned Jeonghan around and held his hands in a tight grasp.
"Whenever I think about our future, all I can see is a bright light.... So, you don't have to worried, okay? I will always keep you happy"
Seungcheol said, not breaking eye contact. Jeonghan smiled as he tiptoed on his feet and kissed him on the forehead.
"I believe you"
The bells are ringing. The wedding tune started to play as everyone stood up. Jeonghan put his hand over his dad's, who gave him a soothing smile. His heart clenched with an undescribable feeling as he walked down the aisle, towards the Choi Seungcheol, standing at the end with a priest. His father let go of his hand and handed him to Seungcheol, who held his hand and led him to the priest. They exchanged sweet smiles with each other.
"Choi Seungcheol and Yoon Jeonghan, have you come here freely and without reservation to give yourselves to each other in marriage?"
The priest said. They both exchanged looks and said yes.
"Since it is your intention to enter into marriage, join your right hands, and declare your consent before God and his Church"
The priest said again. Seungcheol turned to Jeonghan as the latter did the same. Seungcheol took Jeonghan's hands in his as he slip their wedding ring on the other's ring finger, and he said,
"I, Choi Seungcheol, take you, Yoon Jeonghan , for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part"
Jeonghan stared into the other's eyes and smiled at him as he slide the ring on Seungcheol's ring finger.
"I, Yoon Jeonghan, take you, Choi Seungcheol, for my lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part"
Jeonghan said as he tightened his grasp on the other's hand. He could feel tears warming up in his eyes. He now owns Seungcheol, the one he fell in love at first sight. The priest smiles as he said his last pronouncement.
"Now before the people who have assembled here tonight, and in as much as you have each pledged to the other your lifelong commitment, love and devotion, I now pronounce you partners in life. Those who all The Powers of the Universe have joined together, let no one put asunder.
You may now kiss each other to seal these promises"
The cheers came up as Seungcheol pressed his lips against Jeonghan's lips, tilting his head. They pulled away soon enough, and smiled at each other.
But, just as they say, one can never know what waits them ahead. And Jeonghan never realized that today was the day he made the biggest mistake in his life.
