The New Café

Your POV
I walk home and my mum greets me when I go in.
"So......how was the first day of school?"
"It was good,"
"Anything else?"
"Well..... I made two friends," my mum almost bursts as I say this.
"WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES?!?!"
"Mum calm down. Their names are Cadenza and Garroth."
"I'M SOOOO HAPPY!! You finally made not one but two friends!!"
"Mum just calm down. Oh! Em...Garroth is taking me to a café that just opened up."
"At what time?"
"Around 5:30," she grabs my arm and drags me upstairs.
"Well that means that I have an hour to get you ready," I groan as she says this. Great I'm going to look like an idiot.
"Mum I can get ready myself. I don't want to look too girly and dressy." I explain. She sighs
"Fine. I'm just happy you're making friends." She left me there to get ready. I took down my h/c hair and put on a f/c shirt, a s/f/c jacket, a pair of jeans and my grey vans.
                        TIME SKIP
It's 5:30 now and I'm sitting in the kitchen when the doorbell rings. My mum jumps up to go answer it. I follow her hoping that she doesn't embarrass me too much.
"Hi, you must be Garroth. I'm y/n's mum, m/n."
"Pleased to meet you, m/n. Is y/n here?" My mum nods and calls me over.
"Hey, Garroth," I say to him.
"Hey, so are you ready?"
"Yep! Let's go." I turn and wave to my mum and we start walking to the café.

After 10 minutes we turn a corner and see a pink and white café.
"Wow, it's very bright. It definitely belongs to Kawaii~Chan." Garroth says to me.
"Who's Kawaii~Chan?"
"Oh she's the home ec. teacher. She loves the colour pink."
"Yeah I can see that,"
"Well do you wanna go inside?"
"Ya lets go!" I say as we start walking over to it. Inside there are pink chairs, tables and pretty much everything else.
We order our food from Kawaii~Chan who is so nice. She talks in third-person, she has cat ears and a cat tail, her hair is pink and she is very excitable.
"Kawaii~Chan is so very happy to see Garroth~Kun with a friend. What's Garroth~Kun's friend called?"
"My name is y/n. It's nice to meet you Kawaii~Chan."
"Welcome y/n~Sama. What would Garroth~Kun and y/n~Sama like to eat?"
"I'll have f/f," I say.
"I'll have the same," says Garroth. We go to a table and sit down.

After we eat we start to walk home.
"Hey, y/n, do you want to go to the park before we go home?" I nod my yes and we continue walking.
"Race you there!" Garroth says as he takes off running.
"Hey! No fair you're cheating!" I yell as I run after him. I still end up beating him though. As we walk around I accidentally hit my phone with my hand and one of my songs comes on it's a Linkin Park song called Faint. I quickly turn it off.
"Sorry," I say.
"Believe it or not, Linkin Park are one of my favourite bands. So you can leave it on if you want."
"Alright then," I say as I turn it back on.
CUE THE MUSIC
We walk along while listening to it, a few people stare at us but we just ignore them. I mean so what if we like a band they was formed like 20 years ago? It's our choice.

We finish our walk and start heading home. It turns out that Garroth lives across the street from me. Makes things easier if we want to hang out again. He walks me to my house.
"I had so much fun. Thanks Garroth." I say.
"No problem, see you in school tomorrow."
He turns and starts walking away. I close the door and turn around to see my mum.
"So, how was it?"
"Great, turns out he likes Linken Park too,"
"Right well I've made dinner, but if you're not hungry I'll understand. I'll be in the dining room."She tells me. I'm not hungry so I just head up to my room.

A/n hey guys sorry it's a bit short. Originally you were meant to choose your favourite band but I had to put Linken Park in here. Sorry😅. It's my favourite band so........... yeah. Sorry I haven't updated lately I started two new books they are both original stories. Anyways that's all I have to say. Thanks for reading.
