Rick and you were on a hike. You insisted, more like forced, him to go. He had seemed really down ever since what happened to Lori. You felt sorry for the man, first his best friend, now his wife, how much more of this could he really take. You were pulled out of your thoughts when you tripped over a rock. Rick gripped onto your arm and helped you stand back up straight. You nodded a thank you hen he brushed past you.

"Watch where your goin next time", He mumbled and kept walking. You rolled your eyes and followed him. Neither of you exactly knew where you were going, but you didn't really mind. It was getting Rick's mind off of Lori. You readjusted your backpack because, face it, there was nothing better to do right now.

The quiet was killing you. The birds seemed unusually quiet... then you remembered it was always like that. You sighed hoping things would lighten up soon.

Rick and You had stumbled on a small clearing in the woods. It was just getting dark out and the night air felt nice. You two stopped, agreeing that it was time to take a break. Rick shifted his positions a few times and was obviously very uneasy. You glanced at him and frowned a little.

"Is everythin alright?", You asked, as if you didn't already know the answer.

"Its gettin to dark to head back. If we ran into any walkers it'd be hard to see where to aim. We might as well stay here for the night." He mumbled then sat down on a log. He looked down at the ground and frowned. You noticed this and let out a sigh. What you didn't notice was his eyes looking up at you. Rick had never really spent time with you, let alone talk to you. Now that he had, he realized how beautiful you actually were... apart from the dirt and dust that covered you. Your (h/c) (h/l) was in a sloppy bun, your combat boots were covered in mud, your jeans were ripped and worn, and your (f/c) tank top was covered in dirt.

You took your backpack off and set it on the ground. Then you bent down and searched through it, grabbing a couple blankets and a pillow out of it. Rick took his backpack off and did the same except he grabbed out a couple of water bottles and ...... a tent? It seemed like both of you were prepared for this situation.... although he was more prepared than you. You went back to searching through your bag when you found a small CD player and a CD case beside it. You took them out then inspected the CD. It said Midnight Memories on it.

Courtney....

You remembered your best friend gave you this CD to listen to before this whole apocolyspe thing happened. You took the CD out of the case and turned around to see Rick had the tent set up.
You smiled knowing how to cheer him up. You smiled and put the CD in the CD player then flipped through the songs until you found Best Song Ever.

When the music started Rick looked up at you and gave you a confused look. You laughed and started singing to it, " Maybe it's the way she walked, straight into my heart and stole it. Through the doors and past the gaurds. Just like she already owned it. I said give it give it back to me. She said never in your wildest dreams."

He rolled his eyes and you skipped over to him and held out your hand," you know you wanna dance." He looked at your hand skeptically then grabbed onto it and you yanked him up then you started dancing. He eventually caught on and danced with you.

It wasn't anything formal. Hell it was far from it.  You two were both smiling and laughing. He picked you up and spun you around then when the sound ended he set you down on the ground and smiled. You looked at eachotherin silence and then you felt a small drop hit your skin. Then another. And another. Soon it started pouring. You smiled and Rick quickly pulled you to the tent and rushed inside.

When you were both inside the tent you heard thunder rumble. It wasn't a very big tent but you obviously didn't mind at all. Rick took his shirt off and you tried not to look. You laid down facing away from him you curled up in your blankets. He laid down facing you while frowning a bit. You shivered a bit and muttered," I'm cold."

He flipped you around and pulled you against his chest then rested his chin on your forehead," is that better?" You nodded and blushed while he kissed your forehead," thank you.... For tryin to cheer me up." You looked up at him and smiled.

"Its no trouble. I couldn't stand to see you sad." You smiled sweetly at him. Then out of nowhere he lifted your chin up and leaned forward to kiss you. Your eyes widened as you realized what was goin on. When his lips met yours you blushed a deep shade of red and kissed back softly. And for a little moment you forgot about the Hell of a world you lived in.

You woke up to the ungodly moans of the undead... And by the sounds of it... There were many of them. You darted up and noticed Rick was already awake and loading his gun. He looked at you and grabbed your arm pulling you close to him. He counted down from three then you both took off out of the tent. He lost his hold of you though. And through the pouring rain it was hard for you to see him. There were walkers everywhere and it was Rick's mistake in beleiving you were behind him. instead you two were split up in the chaos of it all.

You ran and ran and kept running. You refused to stop. You didn't know where you were going but you knew you had to get to safety. You had lost Rick.... You lost your safety.

The next day Rick went back to the Campsite along with Daryl, Glenn, and Maggie. They looked for you but to no avail. All they found was a torn up tent and supplies scattered everywhere. Daryl looked down thinking that you didn't make it. Maggie, who had been your closest friend during the apocalypse, was holding onto to Glenn while trying to surpress tears. Glenn's expression looked like a sad puppy. And Rick.... Poor Rick just dragged his feet while walking to the small CD player the night before. He picked it up and held it tightly.

When they returned no one asked what they found. Their expressions said it all. Rick was the most devastated. Fate ripped _____ away from him. Now all he could hope was that she was okay and that she will come back. One thing was for sure..... He now hated storms.
