Chapter Six

Jade's pov

" Jade!...Jade!...Jade!" I felt someone shaking me I open my eyes to see Braden in front of me and John behind him. "Are you ok?" Braden asked. "I'm fine." I say getting out of the car. I walk with Braden to the front desk.

When we got there the woman at the front desk looked up and smiled at Braden. Seriously what is she thirty and I know Braden's a catch but cougar much? I thought. "How can I help you?"She purred to Braden. "We need one room with two beds please." He said looking down at John. "Sure. Here you go." She said handing him a room key.

Braden's pov

I was worried about Jade she was acting strange. Of course she's acting strange I told myself. She just killed her mother. But not that I've seen how she normally acts this is strange for her. And what was going on in the car.

We finally came to the room and Jade unlocked it. The room had pinkish - brown walls that had probably faded over the years, Green and blue carpet, two beds and a bath room. Other than the walls it was a good room. John walked to the bed near the far corner- the one farthest from the door - and laid down. He was still tired I bet. I looked over at Jade she was still looking over the room. "What do you think?" I wispered so I didn't wake up the now sleeping John. "What?" She wispered. "What do you think?" I repeated as she walked to me. "About what? The room?" She asked sounding confused. I knew what she really thought I was asking " what did she think about killing her mom?" "Yes about the room. What do you think?" I answered. "It's ok. It would be better if it wasn't for the walls." She said. "That's what I was thinking. But I guess for a night it doesn't matter."

Jade's pov

I told Braden I was going to take a bath. I walked in the bathroom and turned the water on. After the water was on I put lavender soap in and started to strip. I turned the water off when the tub was full and got in. The water was warm and relaxing. I closed my eyes and just thought about anything and everything. Then I felt something. It felt like someone was pouring something in the water when I opened my eyes I saw what it was and screamed.
