As I stepped into the house, I was immediately greeted by the smell of my mom's cooking. I went upstairs then place my bag down next to my desk. Since I wasn't hungry yet, I decided not to go downstairs. I took a quick shower and put on a black shirt and grey sweatpants and took off my makeup. I put my hair into a messy bun and started doing my homework and also some studying for the test.

After about half an hour, I put my books back into my bag and went downstairs. As soon as I reached the dining room, I saw Zac and his mother who was talking to my mother.

"Hey, mom? Is it okay if I eat in my room?"

"Honey, come join us to eat instead. And maybe you can change your outfit first."

I looked down at my outfit and realised what I was wearing. I looked back up to see Mrs. Ryder still talking to my mom but Zac was smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and went back upstairs. Once I was in my room, I locked the door and went to my closet.

I took off my sweatpants and exchanged it with a pair of shorts. Tucking my long black shirt into my shorts, I let my hair down and went downstairs.

I sat down next to my mom and smiled at Mrs. Ryder politely. I looked over at Zac as he smirked at me and I blushed a little. I got some food and started digging in. We were in a comfortable silence before Mrs. Ryder spoke up.

"So, Paige, has Zac been good at school?" Mrs. Ryder asked.

I looked up and swallowed the rest of my food before speaking. I looked over at Zac and smirked. I could ruin him now if I wanted to. He shot me a look saying, don't do it. Being the good girl I am, I decided not to. I look back at Mrs. Ryder and said, "Mrs. Ry-"

"Oh honey, just call me Glenn."

"Oh, Glenn, Zac has been quite alright in school I guess. He's making a lot of friends though."

Glenn looked at Zac and he just simply shrugged and continued to eat his food.

The rest of the dinner went quietly and when it ended, I offered to help my mom to wash the dishes but she declined. She told me to hang out with Zac while she talks to Glenn.

I walked to the living room but stopped when my mom told me that it would be occupied (yes the whole room) by my dad because he wants to watch some baseball game.

I ended up going to my room with Zac trailing behind me quietly. He is never quiet. There has to be something wrong. As we enter my room, we don't close the door because my mom doesn't allow me to close the door when I have a boy over. I sat down on my bed with him beside me.

"Hey, Zac. Why are you so quiet today?"

I looked at him but he just answered with a shrug. I sigh and look towards my window. The sky looked really beautiful at night especially with all those stars.

"Hey, look. I just don't feel really well today. I mean I'm not sick but I'm doing really horribly in school and would probably get a huge punishment if my parents found out," he said the last part really fast that I only caught some of the words.

"What? I don't..." Then the words hit me slowly one by one forming the whole sentence.

"Was that why you gave me that look when she asked me that question just now?" I asked in curiosity.

He finally looks at me and slowly nods. I give him a small smile and take his large hands and lead him to the balcony.

Zac's P.O.V.

I looked at her in embarrassment but she never judged me about it. My dad would kick me out of the house if he wanted to. My mom would act like she never owned me. My life would be ruined.

She gave me a smile and I felt butterflies in my stomach that I have never felt before. It was something different. She took my hand and led me to the balcony, I'm guessing. But when she touched my hand, I felt excitement and happiness rushing over me. I bit my lip to hold back a smile and used my other hand to comb through my hair.

Paige's P.O.V.

I sat him down in one of the chairs on the balcony and sat in the other. I closed my eyes and breathed in the air as I smiled. I opened my eyes and look at the stars in awe. I looked over to Zac and noticed that he was staring at me. His green eyes were sparkling beautifully under the light. He gave me a smile and my breath hitched. I looked away and focused my gaze on Ken arguing with a girl next to the pool. They weren't arguing loudly until we could hear but I could hear them a bit but they sound like flies that fly by.

Zac's P.O.V.

I look over at her and saw her smiling. I look at her in awe when she smiles then looks up to the sky. I took time to notice how beautiful she actually was. Inside and on the outside. Something that is rare nowadays. She suddenly looks at me and I feel like as if I had just been caught doing wrong. I felt a little bit embarrassed but didn't show it. Instead, I gave her a genuine smile and I saw her blush and look away. I chuckle softly to myself and look at the stars. They were truly beautiful. Just like her.

Well hello everyone! If youre wondering, P.O.V. stands for "Point of View". I have to come up with a ship name... If you're one of my readers, comment their ship name! Btw, I think Paige's mom should be called Cordelia. I don't know. I'm still thinking of it. That's all for now. Byeeee. <3
