Chapter Two

I am a goddess.

My guess is right. I am right! Clarence is sad. Reina is happy.

Zane and Jane are sitting in the corner, hands clinging to each other. Eyes fix on me with glints every now and then.

"Lela," mother smiles with pure evilness. "You are going away from our household!"

I keep my straight face on for the longest I could probably do. When the moment was right, I clap my hands and smile a bit--with arrogant eyes--and cheers, "Yay!" for one split second.

That is where I first see Zane and Jane's only emotion.

They furrowed their eyebrows in confuse towards me. "Lela," Jane says with her soothing voice, "you are not in this family anymore." Zane nods, letting his twin sister sprints at me before adding, with a deeper but cute voice, "And you're with nobody out there."

Jane stands before my eyes, her maroon red dress cage her right in front of me.

"Yes, but it's better than being alone in here." She looks confused by my sentence, and her tiny arms crossed on her chest. "No, you're not. Just because you think you are doesn't mean you're actually alone."

I frown at her. "So, what are you saying, it's all in my head?" Jane nods.

Mother chuckles from behind her. "Oh, you two. Don't make me dispose you two, too. I don't want to," she hums. Zane walks towards me and Jane with seriousness covering his face. "Oh, Mother. You wouldn't dare," he whispers, seems amused by that sentence.

Jane stops her glaring as she walks away to the door of the room.

She stops in front of it, looking over from her shoulder. "I disagree on Lela not being our family. If more than one member disagree in this, the event should be cancelled."

With that, Jane walks away. Her clicking shoes are heard through the dark hall, and Zane made his decision not so long after. "I agree. She can 't be a person who isn 't related to us. We can get into some dangerous zone, Mother. Please think about it again. Though... You can't really do anything because we disagree."

I hold my laughter at Clarence's happy face and Reina's disgusted one.

"Excuse me, Zane--" Reina's sentence stopped when Zane walks out also. "No, Reina. I made my decision."
