Kayla's POV:
Swiping my gym bag off my bedroom floor, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen.
"Mom I'm heading to the gym." I said to my mother before grabbing my car keys.
"Be home by dinner." She said as she pressed a kiss to my cheek. The gym was thankfully only a 10 minute drive. I was going to meet up with a few close friends that I regularly worked out with.
"You sure you'll be able to train with the big boys?" Ryan asked as I entered the gym. I rolled my eyes at his pathetic question, "I'm sure I'll be able to bench more then both of you." I shot at them. They instantly raised their hands up in defense and mumbling their apologies. "I need to do the stairmaster so I'll meet with you guys in half an hour?" I replied throwing my hair up in a bun.
"Sounds good." Ryan replied as I departed to the 2nd floor with my best friend Andrea.
After I was done with my exhausting cardio I made my way to the 3rd floor where Ryan and Chaz were awaiting.
"You ready?" Chaz asked as he chugged down his water. I nodded as I laid down to be parallel with the barbell above me.
"Give me 50." I stated. "You're gonna bench a total of 100?!" Ryan nearly fainted. "Kayla you were benching 80 yesterday. You can't just decide to bench your bodyweight overnight" he held a tone as if he were my mother. I had the willpower in me to take up the challenge these pathetic boys brought upon me.
"I'm feeling spontaneous. Give me the twenty plates."
They both sighed as they put the plates on the bar. When everything was secure, pushed the bar up and above my head, lowering the bar to my chest and back up above my head. Then repeating the action another 9 times. Ryan and Chaz cheered me on as I repeated the reps, before I know it half the gym was cheering me on.
I sat up as I sucked in a deep breath, "I thought I was going to die." I shook my head before letting out a small laugh. I was proud of myself that I pulled through this.
"You've made your point and proved me wrong. I'm proud of you ." Ryan shook his head as he patted my shoulder.
"Yeah we'll keep our mouths shut next time. Great job." Chaz applauded as he handed me my bottle.
"Alright I'm gonna head home, I'll see you boys on Monday. Thanks for the support." I grabbed my gym bag before heading off but I was held up when I knocked over someone's bottle and supplements.
Bending over to try to make everything look the way it was before, I quickly scrambled to fix the mess. When everything look accordingly, I stood up but I abruptly crashed into someone.
"I am so sorry." I nervously apologized. He had a smirk on his face as he looked down at the items and then back to me.
"Is this your stuff? I'm sorry again for knocking it over." I apologized yet again. I really am a mess.
A small smile tugged on his face and that what was when I finally examined him. He was beautiful, built and toned from head to toe. He had wavy hair that looked like he had ran his hands through 100 times in the past hour, his hazel eyes had a sparkle to them that made my heart feel like it was melting and his lips were nice and plump; perfect for me to lean up and press a kiss to.
"Relax doll, you're fine." He skimmed his tongue over his bottom lip before he secretly ran his eyes over my body, but I had managed to catch him.
"That was really impressive back there." He directed his eyes to where I had previously bench pressed. A small blush tinted my cheeks for an odd reason and I smiled before I locked my eyes with his and I swear I knew I was screwed.
