Kayla's POV:

I buried myself under my blankets all week and I had only the strength to finish my calculus homework. I tried my best to get the thought of Austin out of my head but it was no use. He was all that came to mind.

He had called 3 times after I walked out on him and so far 2 times today. He understood that I was avoiding him so he wasn't bothering me too much.

"So what happened last night?" my mother walked into my room. It was currently noon and she was most likely preparing dinner with the help of my father. It was something did together every week.

"It doesn't matter." I tried to be nonchalant but I knew she could see right through me, she was my mother after all.

"I think it does matter when I see my daughter come home in near tears." she replied.

"Some things don't work out. There's nothing I could possibly change." my tone had a bit of pity in it which made her confused.

"I'm fine." I added on which was a complete lie.

"Are you gonna stay in the car all day?" My brother asked me. We had just gotten home from school and I wouldn't budge out of the passenger seat.

"Just give me a second, I have to listen to the voicemail." I replied. It was Austin. My heart beat had accelerated and I got chills just thinking about hearing his voice.

"Um hey, I don't if you're listening to this but I was wondering if we could talk please. I just wanna talk that's all, just please hear me out. I hope your alright." And with that the voicemail was over.

I quickly got out of the car before heading inside. I was conflicted; I really did want to listen to what he had to say but the 7 year age difference was throwing my mind in the other direction.

I went into the downwards dog position as I took a deep breath. I was currently in a yoga class in the gym and I was hoping this would relieve some stress. I turned my head to the side when I noticed Austin talking to the yoga instructor.

He was currently wearing a suit and I nearly lost my self control. The instructor flipped her hair, making a failed attempt at trying to impress Austin. I began to roll up my yoga mat as I let my mind wander as to why he was here talking to the yoga instructor.

Austin turned his head to the side and that's when his eyes melted into mine. His lips slightly parted like he had something to say to me but was contemplating whether to say it. I slowly dragged my feet out of the room, "Kayla wait please." Austin rushed out of the room and I soon felt my stomach explode with butterflies when he touched my hand.

"I just wanna talk please." his tired eyes begged. Great, I wasn't the only one who was exhausted.

"Alright." I replied. His fingers laced with mine and that's when he began to lead me somewhere. He opened up a door and we slowly began to walk up them before reaching a few office doors. Were we even allowed to be here?

I saw a name plaque with the name Austin Mahone plastered on it, he owned this gym.

"I wouldn't have persuaded you if I knew you were seventeen. I promise I'm not that type of guy. I thought the youngest you could possibly be was a Freshman in college." He explained himself as he tugged at his hair.

I looked up at him before speaking, "I thought you were a college in a freshman. I wouldn't have flirted with you and led you on. I'd like if we remained friends." I tucked a chunk of my hair behind my ear.
