The day Shiganshina got attacked by the Colossal and the armored titan, was the day thousands of lives were lost. Countless people, eaten like livestock. Chased and hunted down by the titans.

Wall Maria had been destroyed, allowing the titans to infiltrate the wall and eat everyone they could find. The scouts tried their best to fend off the enemy, but to no avail. Wall Maria was lost.
 
Among the families that lost their loved ones, Eren Jaeger and Mikasa Ackerman were left without a mother and a missing father. They were left with nothing. Their closest friend, Armin and his grandfather helped Eren and Mikasa get onto the boats to flee inward.

When the boats were at their full capacity, a little girl had to leave her mother behind because there wasn't enough space. The mother got left behind and eventually cornered by titans. All the little girl could do, was watch as her mother got eaten.

That was 5 years ago. During the years that passed, Eren, Mikasa, Armin and the little girl, (Y/N), had enrolled themselves in training to become scouts, to defend humanity.

Tonight was graduation night, the night all cadets would become part of a regiment and be able to fight against the titans.

Eren had already decided he wanted to join the scouts, Armin and Mikasa followed him as well and decided to join the scouts as well.

(Y/N) wanted to become a scout from the very beginning, so she joined Eren, graduating second best in her class, with Mikasa at first place.

All the cadets stood proud in their lines, ready to choose which regiment they'll be joining. Eren looked around at all the cadets around him, confident that titans would pay for all the lives they have taken.

He looked at every cadet and smirked proudly, but his smirk fell the minute his eyes fell on a very familiar (H/C) girl. (Y/N). Eren had met her the day wall Maria fell, he knew what she had been through and knew she was a skilled fighter, he admired her for it.

(Y/N) stood proud, her right hand clenched into a fist and pressed against her chest, where her heart would be. It was a magnificent sight, humanity might actually have a chance of surviving and defeating the titans.

The next morning, everyone woke up early to get ready for their first day on duty. Everyone was excited yet scared. They readied the canons to fire at the titans who were too close to the wall and a few cadets were ready in case anythimg unexpected happened.

Eren stood on the east side of the wall, near Trost district. He watched his fellow cadets as they scurried about with the canons, except for one. Sasha Brown.

She ran towards one of the groups and had a crazy look on her face. "Can you guys keep a secret?" The group looked at each other and then at her, curiosity clearly shown on their faces.

"Because i totally just helped myself to the officer's pantry." she stated as she took a roll of salami out of her pocket.

Everyone's faces paled and their jaws dropped.

"Sasha! they can throw your butt in jail for that!" Eren exclaimed.

"Seriously? What's wrong with you?" Armin asked as he eyed the food she clutched in her hand.

"What isn't wrong with her." Jean states rudely, yet he too was eyeing the food.

Sasha started drooling and a grin spread across her face. "Its alright, i'm willing to share."Her grin grew even wider. "Can you imagine the sandwiches?!" she exclaimed as she drooled at the thought.
