May 15, the day Heaven finally met Earth.

The dark sky opened, rain pouring out. Earth was in panic; it was an unknown storm. What appeared to be hail fell rapidly, but as it came closer, people noticed it was small pieces of marble falling openly from the sky. Everyone ran and tried to hide, but the debris was destroying everything in its way. Burning  buldings, flipped over cars, masses of people running wild. It wasn't until someone noticed bodies flailing out of the hole in the sky that everyone stopped. First one body hit  a car with a thud then another and another. Everyone who had fallen looked pratically unscathed, just very similar rips and red lines right by each shoulder blade on their backs.

No one knew what was happening or what was to come. Some even assumed this was the end of the world. If your house was salvaged, you were running home as quickly as the clogged and damaged streets allowed.

The Angels were gentle folk, maybe because they lived in Heaven. Every one of the Angels had a similar glow to them; they also had wings. They weren't the wings you hear about, they were like whisps of clouds, forming a wing like shape emerging from each shoulder blade. An Angels wings were sacred. They simbolize their purity, all an Angel is about.

You grow wings if you make it into Heaven the first time you pass. You grow horns if you make it into Hell. And for those that make it into neither? They reincarnate. These are the people that died young, died because of a murder, or died with there still being purpose in them. When you die, you remember nothing of your past. An occasional person will remeber emotions, or certain memories, but it is very rare that anyone is to remember an entire past life.

While it's easy to earn wings, it's also just as easy to lose them. An Angel may lose his/her wings if they get thrown out of Heaven. The concept is very literal. If an Angel gets any part of their body outside of Heaven's border, their wings will disappear. They simply evaporate. While this process seems very painless, the Angel will feel as though their soul is being ripped away and they will be left with scars on their backs where their wings used to be. No Angel has ever left Heaven willingly, but a decent amount have been kicked out. If they sin inside Heaven's gate, they will be removed from Heaven as quickly as they came. These Angel's, the ones that have been kicked out, get put on a 'Wall of Shame,' per say, as an example to the other Angels.

So when Angels began to fall from Heaven onto Earth, Heaven turned into panic. No Angel wanted to lose their wings, and they knew if they left the premises, their wings would be ripped away, never to return. Especially Harry, one of God's favourite Angels.

Harry had died twenty years before, at the age of fourty-five. He looked as though he were just fresh out of his teenage years, maybe eighteen or nineteen, as did all the other Angels. Harry was always a gentle man, always staying out of trouble, so God took a very special liking to Harry. Harry was to be one of God's many assistants, and he took his job seriously. Harry refused to leave Heaven, he would never be on the Wall. But sometimes, God has a different plan for you.

Harry was one of the first Angels to make it to Earth. He was creating a smalll lunch for him and his friends on the balcony when it began to fall apart. Harry gripped the side of the marble bulding, holding as tight as his large hands allowed. He ventured to peer down and was suprised to see a large, black home formed in the ground, sucking things in. Harry's grip became slack, until he finally lost it altogether and fell, grasping anything he could find. He neared the hole, expecting it to suck him into an abyss, but he came to find that it was more dark skies around him. He hit the ground with a thud.

Harry noticed the searing pain first. He went to touch his back and noticed he didn't feel his wings.

Harry panicked.
