If you could use love potions would you do it? If you could make anyone you wanted fall in love with you, simply by giving them a drink would you? Or would you win them over with sheer charm and kindness.
I personally would not use not use a love potion. You wouldn't get to experience the process of seeing them fall in love with you the natural way. You wouldn't get to see any of the steps, nor would they. It's almost like cheating on a test, you take the easy way out and you gain virtually nothing but empty and forced emotions
They would have no choice if hey drank the potion. They would be forced to love you and that's selfish. They could have feelings for someone else, and by taking the potion those feelings become pointless. You could even take their lives away from them. They could be in a relationship, or in love, and you'd just come along with some magic potion and bam!
Love is an emotion that you can't just make magically appear. I personally believe that there has to have been love there from the start for it to count. You can't just force someone to love you, it's selfish and meaningless.
