Chapter 14

( Savannah's POV)

" Baby please wake up... Dammit!" Matt said gripping Samantha's hand I looked a him with tears streaming down his face.

"Matt... There's no use... They said...." I said putting my hand on his shoulder , but he shot right up and pushed me against the wall.

" Don't say that! This is your fault.... She wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.... You........ She has to survive ... If your going to say that then get the hell out of her and away from me." Matt said pounding the wall beside my head I looked at him and I saw his eyes darken . I nodded and sipped under his arm and walked out.





(Matt's POV)

I squeezed her hand as the tears streamed down my face, I kiss her hand and closed my eyes.

"Sam baby please wake up." I said kissing her hand again.

"Excuse me sir." A voice said I look up and see a nurse and a doctor standing on the other side of Sam's bed.

"Are you family?

"Her boyfriend." I said looking at Samantha.

"Is her family here?"The doctor said

"Her sister is downstairs right now her parents went home, but you can tell me."

"Sir, I'm not authorized to share this information to you, family only."The doctor said taking off his glasses.

"You can tell him he's basically family...not officially but he is."Savannah said walking in the room standing by me.



"Ma'am and Sir, Samantha's injures were very critical her, her neck,leg and arm is broken, and she has a brain bleed but we were lucky enough to stop the bleeding..." He said and paused to look at me, "She is very sedated and she should be awake soon."

"Thank you doctor" I said squeezing Sam's hand.

"The baby is fine but we still want to keep an eye out." He said setting her chart down.

Baby?

"She's pregnant?" I said looking up, the doctor looked at me then to the nurse.

"Yes sir , I'm sorry I thought you were aware she's about 5 weeks."He said picking up the chart flipping through the pages.

"Thanks for everything Doctor." Savannah said he nodded as him and the nurse walked out closing the door behind them.

"I'm going to call my parents."

"You hear that Sam you're going to be fine." I grabbed her hand and rested my head down on the bed feelings the tears coming.I wrapped my hands around Samantha's cold hand and kissed her hand letting the tears fall.
I rested my head on the bed and squeezed my eyes shut my mind going to a different place.

I feel someone touching my hair and then my face, I rise up automatically and looked around the room then I heard a familiar sound. I look at Samantha and see her looking at me with a smile on her face.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you." She said as her cheeks turned red. I caressed her face with both my hands hands and my lips met hers , I felt her smile as she kissed me back.

"Can you get me some water please." She said touching her throat I nodded and poured some water in a cup and handed it to her.

"How do you feel?" I said as I looked in her eyes, her face went in a slight frown.

"My head hurts like hell." she said touching her head where the bandages were.

"What the happened.. All I remember is leaving the bar and driving and..oh my gosh."She said feeling the bandages.

"Let me get the doctor." I said squeezing her hand as I pressed the intercom button on the remote.

"Yes?" The speaker said, "Can we have a doctor please" A few minutes later the same doctor from last time came in.

"Hello Samantha , how are you feeling?" He said taking out a small flashlight and flashing it in her eyes."

"Like hell."

The doctor chuckled and checked her vitals "Any pain?" he said looking at her.

"My head and my leg." she said as her eyes get watery, I squeezed her hand and kissed her forehead.

"I"ll have Susan get your meds for you." As the nurse walks out the door, the doctor pulls a metal instrument out of his picked and went to the end of her bed. He removed the blanket and trailed it on her foot which made her toes move, as he did on the other one.

"Hands right out in front of you and keep them there." he said as she stayed still he smiled and said "Good." As he wrote on the chart just as the nurse came back with her meds.

"Okay Samantha what do you remember?" he said sitting down on the stool as the nurse hooked her meds up.

"I remember getting in the car driving and everything went black." She said with a frown on her face. He nodded and wrote things down the next few minutes he asked her questions and she answered them. As the doctor was about to walk out her parents walk in her mother is in tears and runs to her and hugs her.

"Thank god your awake sweetheart you scared all of us."

"You must be her parents, let me explain everything for you guys." The doctor said I kissed Sam on the lips and told her I would be right back." I walk out the room and fell on my knees I looked up at the ceiling and pulled at my cross necklace and kissed it.

As I was walking back to the room I see the doctor and nurse walk out the room, I opened the door and everybody's eyes went on me.

"Let's give them a moment" her mom said giving me a small smile as they walked out. I looked at Sam and see tears streaming down her face I walked to her and wiped her tears.

"I'm so sorry I'm so stupid I should've known better, I shouldn't have ran away I overthink everything. I shouldn't have went to the bar if I knew I was pregnant." I hushed her and grabbed her hand.

"I love you , that is all that matters. I'm not the father to Savannah's baby we haven't had sex in months. I love you Samantha and we have a son or daughter on our way ." I said as I kissed her I pulled back and grabbed a small box from my pocket.

"This isn't the most romantic thing in the world but I almost lost you and I want you to be mine." I said opening the small box, I looked at Sam and see her looking at me.

"Oh by the way I'm not proposing." I said with a wink I saw her face relax and we both started laughing.

"But this ring is a promise ring it's to let you know that when the time is right I'm going to replace that with a diamond ring and we"ll be somewhere romantic, instead of the hospital." I said chuckling.

"Will you accept this ros- I mean ring." I said winking at her she nodded and released her hand out as I slipped the ring on.
