Romione: Always the tone of surprise

Chapter 1

Note: in this story the battle had never happened (boring I know sorry) they never went on the horcrux hunt and dumbledore (happily) isn't dead. everything that happened in the 6th book is the same except the horcruxes, dumbledore, etc.. Also Harry and Ginny are dating :). I really hope you enjoy this story. please leave comments telling me how I did on my first chapter!!

It's late August and the weasleys and Harry of course are all at the burrow. Molly is busy preparing dinner in the kitchen while the others are talking amongst themselves. Ron, Harry, and Ginny are sitting in the living room around the fire.
"I can't believe this is our last year at Hogwarts.." Harry told Ron with a slight strand of sadness in his voice.
"Yeah I'm gonna miss it." Ron sighed "But hey at least it's our last year of having to do all of that crazy work!" he sounded very happy now.
"I just want to be there, I'm tired of hanging around with you two all day." Ginny sounded quite serious about this, at which Ron rolled his eyes. "It sucks Hermione had to stay with her parents all summer, not even a bloody visit." Now Ginny was sounding a bit less serious but still seemed a little annoyed.
When Ron heard Hermiones name he lit up inside, knowing that he will get to see her again very soon. Even though he didn't admit it, he really did miss her, and everyone knew that. They also all knew that Ron has the biggest crush on her, they always hint at it but he never seems to pick it up.
"Dinner is ready!" shouted Molly from the kitchen. The whole family-including Harry- all jumped up, and nearly ran to the table.
"Fred would you settle down!"
"Sorry mum." apologized Fred as he sat at the table receiving a disappointed stare from his mother he nearly just knocked over.
Ron began eating and for a reason no one except him knew, he was beaming, for in less than 9 days he would be able to see Hermione.
Once they had finished eating Ron and Harry went up to the room they shared and got ready for bed. Ron, being extremely tired, just fell into bed as if someone had just punched him in the face. Whereas Harry, who wasn't tired at all, had put on his pajamas and went to go see if Ginny was awake, which she was, and they talked for a very long time, only stopping because Harry had passed out mid sentence.
Everything was good, this year was bound to be a good one.
