Author's Note: So this is the last chapter of "My Overprotective Best Friend: Zayn Malik". I know you guys were probably hoping for more, but I feel at peace with ending it here (after the Epilogue). I still haven't decided what I'm going to do for my next story. I'm really leaning towards either a collab., a Liam story, or a brand new boyxboy story so that I can have new characters without any judgement of how I present them. I don't know...either way, it would be a while before I post anything anyway. Well, I'll post the Epilogue in two days, since the book itself is done being written. Let me know what you think of the chapter! --Ekat =)

“So let me get this straight,” I laugh out, trying to get a hold of what he’s telling me. “One Direction fans are called Directioners, but when you talk to them on Twitter, you call them your crazy mofos?”
“Yep,” Niall replies with a proud grin. Then he turned serious in a blink of an eye, which he probably picked up from Zayn, and pointed a finger at me. “I may like you a lot Zoey, but don’t come between me and my crazy mofos.”
“Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it Mr. Horan,” I replied with complete sarcasm. Personally, I think it’s amazing how dedicated some people are to the boys. I’m sure the boys find it just a little bit creepy when so many people they haven’t met, or even know are waiting outside the hotel, but that just shows how much they admire the boys, and what they do. “But seriously, the loyalty of your fans is incredible.”
“Yeah; they’re what keeps us going, seeing as how they’re how we got started,” Niall admits, staring blankly at the table in front of him. To those who pass by us, they would probably think Niall wasn’t paying attention to anything, but I can tell he’s deep in thought with memories of his fans. Suddenly, his smile returns to a normal level, and he’s staring back at me. “But we didn’t come here to give you an insight on what it’s like be a fan of One Direction; we came here to get to know each other.”
“So why don’t you tell me about what it was like growing up in a small town in the midlands of Ireland?” I suggested, trying to change the subject. “I’ve always been intrigued with the country. Whenever I would tell Zayn that it would be nice to take a trip there, he would always have a smartass comment to say, and then tell me that he would never go to Ireland.”
“Oh really?” Niall questions with an amused expression and a raised eyebrow. I slowly nodded my head, not finding the humor in the situation. Maybe it’s the way I worded it? “Kind of ironic Zayn would say that, seeing as how he’s been to Ireland over a dozen times, only half of them being for One Direction.”
“That son of a bitch,” I whisper out.
“Yeah,” Niall nods his head, finding my answer amusing. “Quite honestly, I think he was the one that was most excited for the trips. He was always bouncing around like a kangaroo. So as you can probably tell, growing up Ireland was great. Tell me a little more about you though.”
“Well, growing up in Bradford wasn’t anything special,” I shrug. “Zayn was my only friend growing up. All the girls turned out to be annoying and snobbish, and as you can probably guess, no boys were allowed in a ten foot radius without Zayn’s permission. Even so, Zayn was always right there with me, acting like a watchdog.”
“Not our Zaynie-poo,” Niall gasps in fake shock, making me laugh.
