My Last Breath
Leo.
He left me suddenly, abruptly, and never appeared in my life again. My life changed, just like how a sunny day suddenly became a rainy, stormy day.
Leo, he was the thunder, the lightning. He was the one who made me change. Just like lightning, he barely talked. He would just be there, next to me, and I usually did all the talking. He just listened. Like thunder, when he talked, he talked with a menacing tone, never gently.
Found another woman, he told me. And with that, he disappeared from my sight. I remember him walking out of that coffee shop, leaving me sitting there alone.
How could you trust someone who barely talked to you, my friends told me. They told me they never thought my relationship with him would work out, and that he wasn't worthy of me.
Get over him, I told myself. Each day I tried to find someone else, tried to forget him, tried to become the happy person I once was. Tried.
But I couldn't.
Leo.
The guy who I spent two years with. I was happy then, happy to be in his arms, happy to confide in him when I was at my worst. Now, I had no one. No one to live for.
Leo, just promise me one thing, just one last thing. Remember me.
This one last breath is for you, Leo. We loved. You loved me, I love you. I still do.
That one last breath for Leo, and then I jumped.
