Okay, so people are all like:
"If you don't do ____, you're not normal."

What's normal? I hear people say that and it kinda p***es me off because honestly, who's to say what's normal? If we were all "normal", we'd be the same person. We wouldn't have different thoughts, we wouldn't have different tastes, we wouldn't look different. We wouldn't be human. One time a girl saw me roleplaying IRL and said, and I quote, "Roleplaying after you hit 11 isn't normal."

...

It's that word... It's like my trigger!

I started telling her off and then she said, "But it's true! It means you're stupid and weird!"

I blew a f***ing fuse that day.

This is how it went after that:

Me: Oh? Okay, let's actually take a look at this. What's the definition of roleplaying?

Girl: Well, it's when you act like someone you're not.

Me: Close enough. Now, define acting.

Girl: Acting like someone else.

Me: *nods* What do you do when you read a book with secondary POV?

Girl: POV?

Me: Point of view.

Girl: Oh, well you put yourself in place of another person and make decisions! What does this have to do with roleplaying though?

Me: *mental facepalm* What does an author do when writing in first person?

Girl: Put themselves in place of a character, duh!

Me: Are they dumb?

Girl: No! They're really smart and cool!

Me: Well roleplayers do the same thing. What makes them different?

Girl: Uhh...

Me: Exactly. *turns on heels and walks away*
