I was ready to start my first day of school. The summer flew by so fast. The only thing I was looking forward to this year was being with my best friend Emily. I've been in this group since last year and we're the ''popular girls''. But I don't even know why I'm in it anyway. I don't consider myself to be popular.
I walked into the school and started looking for her then I heard someone yell my name.
''Allison!'' Emily yelled and started running to me.
''Emily!'' I smiled as she ran up and hugged me. ''I missed you!''
''I missed you too.'' ''I hope we have some classes together like last year.''
''Me too.'' I noticed she was looking at the other students. ''Uh looking for somebody?''

Toby...oh there he is!'' Toby is her boyfriend. He walked towards us and gave her a kiss.
''Hey Alli.'' He said to me with a grin. I giggled and gave him a little wave.
''Hey Toby.'' I looked at my watch and noticed it was 7:40. ''I gotta go guys, bye!''
''Bye Alli I'll see you later.'' Emily said and waved at me. I watched them hold hands and walk away.
I couldn't help but feel a little jealous. Toby was cute and captain of the football team last year. I'm okay with being single but I always wonder what its like to have a boyfriend. I started walking to my locker when I heard a group of boys laughing really loud at something.
