Chapter 4

"Katie, wake up!"Matthew said frantically
"Hmm?" Katie said as she scented something
"I think something/someone is burning" Matthew said as Katie got up and looked outside to see the next door neighbors house on fire
"No, no!" Katie said as she quickly ran down the stairs and transformed as she raced across the yard
"Katie!" Matthew yelled as he grabbed his phone and dialed 911.
Katie then rushed into the house her eyes burning as she heard her, she whimpered and dodged the fire falling down as she got up the stairs and she saw her, her best friend, Alice as she barked and Alice looked up and crawled over
"Hey, dog, get out your gonna hurt yourself!"Alice said as Katie shook her head as she couched down as she laid next to Alice and she nosed Alice then pointed at her back as Alice nods and climbs onto Katie's back and Katie walked out of the room as she darted down the stairs and Alice jumped off her back as she raced out and she listened for anybody else, nobody as she made it out of the house as the fire fighters fought the fire and one came over to Katie and Alice,
"Alice is this your dog?" One of the officers asked
"No, she is mine" Matthew said "here, Katie"he called as Katie trotted back to Matthew
"I have a friend named Katie" Alice chuckled as Matthew  and Katie locked eyes as the fire was put out and there was alley any house left
"Good job, Katie" the officer said with spat on her head as they left and Katie transformed into herself again as Alice gasped
"Katie!?" Alice answered as Katie nodded as she was in Matt's t-shirt and Alice looked at us both
"Are you guys, dating?" Alice asked as Katie and Matthew nodded and Alice squealed and smiled as Katie chuckled and turned to Matt and kissed his cheek
"Your not scared that I'm a wolf?" Katie asked as Alice shook her head
"No, I think it's cute, just like you two" she chuckled as Katie blushed and Matthew and Alice laughed
"Yea, Katie is cute, I mean we are cute" Matthew chuckled as Katie blushed even more.
"You can stay at My house, if ya want?" He asked Katie and Alice as they both nodded as they followed Matthew to his car and they got in and drove to his house.
He sighed as he got into bed and Katie curled next to him and they all drifted of to sleep as Alice tossed and turned.
The next morning Katie woke up while the others slept. She got off the bed and she sighed as she quietly walked down the stairs and she sighed as she saw eggs and bacon and she turned on the stove and she cracked the eggs in a pan. She then got a skillet out and placed the bacon on it and went to make coffee, as she didn't hear anyone she then felt hands wrap around her stomach and pull her off the ground with a chuckle as she was put back down
"Morning beautiful" Matthew said smiling
"Morning," Katie chuckled as she got back to the eggs and bacon as it was done and she served it on 3 plates as Alice walked down stairs and sat at the table and dug in. While Katie and Matt ate slowly
"How did you love birds sleep?" Alice asked as they chuckled
"We slept fine, Alice, how about you?" Matthew asked with a chuckle
"I slept good" Alice said as Katie jerked up out of her seat as she looked around alarmed
"Katie, what is it?" Matthew asked
Katie then fell bones cracking as she shifted into a wolf and she darted out the door and down the road as she scented and saw him, she growled, this time he wasn't getting away from her. She charged at the dude as he yelled and ran for his truck to get the gun. He was the hunter who killed her family, her pack. She growled as she heard footsteps behind her and she turned around quickly to see Matt and Alice running towards her as she heard a gun get loaded and she turned around as the gun barrel was pointed at her and she let out a deep low growl and before he could shoot she charged him and she leaped onto him and she growled as she felt pain in her side of the face as it got black and she fell, into unconsciousness as she laid there
"Katie!" He yelled as Matthew drove at the man before he could get a shot at Katie and he ripped the gun away and he pointed it at the hunter as Katie started to transform and she got up, her face bleeding
"Kill him, or I will, he killed my family, my pack!" She said ready to attack the man as Matthew then pulled the trigger and the hunter fell, dead. As Matthew dropped the gun and Katie jumped into his arms and nuzzled her face in his neck and let out a sob as Matthew stroke her hair and carried her, surprisingly. He laid her down on the couch and he got her to sit up as he slid his body next to her and she leaned on it
"I should have killed him, long ago the day he killed my pack" Katie said"and now I'm the only wolf that I know" she added as she sat there and Matthew kissed her head
"You have me, and you have Alice" Matthew said softly as Katie looked up and she leaned in as she kissed him, they kept kissing as Alice walked through the door and fake coughed as they broke apart and Katie blushed and Matthew chuckled
"Get a room you two" Alice chuckled as Matthew nodded
"Alright, come on Katie up to my room" he chuckled as Katie got up and she darted up the stairs with Matthew on her heals and she leaped onto his bed and laid there as Matthew came and laid next to her and he chuckled as he then kissed her and she kissed him back.

About a 5 weeks later Katie came out of the bathroom
"Matthew, can I speak to you?" Katie asked as Matthew nodded
"Yes?" He said looking at her
"We are gonna be parents" she said as she chuckled as Matthew rushed and picked her up and spun her around.
