Kaylie's POV

We finished our mission in Iwagakure a few days ago, and almost as soon as we got back to Suna, we were sent away again, but this time, for the Chunin Exams. I guess they're these weird exams that determine whether we or not we get to the next ranking as a ninja.

We'd been traveling for a few days, and Baki says that we'll reach Konoha soon. Thank god.

While we've been traveling, I've been trying to contact that other girl from before that I'd heard in my head, but nothing has been working. Maybe it's like a sync type of thing where we both have to wanna do it? Ugh. This is so complicated.

"We're here." Baki said.

"No shit." I replied. I mean, hellooo? We're in front of a giant ass gate with the Konoha symbol on it. Of course we're fucking here!

"State your business and show us your passes."

"We're here for the Chunin Exams." Temari said. We all nodded and Baki showed our passes. They nodded and let us in. Baki handed us our passes and then stopped us.

"Please.. Try not to get into too much trouble. I'll meet up with you at the Kuzukana Inn. Kankuro, Gaara and I have room 108B and Temari and Kaylie have room 112B, got it?"

"Hai." We said. Baki disappeared.

"Go ahead. I'll catch up." Gaara said, disappearing. "I'll be back too. I've got to do something." I said.

They shrugged and began walking around. Temari walked on top of a fence and Kankuro walked on the ground. I eyed them for a minute before disappearing.

I appeared on top of a building. I'm scouting to see if I can recognize someone with the same voice as her.

I sighed. Nothing.

I disappeared and reappeared in a tree, just in time to see a scene. Gaara appeared silently beside me. We exchanged brief glances but said nothing, merely nodding.

A small boy with an extremely long scarf ran into Kankuro. Kankuro turned around and picked him up by his collar.

"Hey, brat, watch where you're going! That hurt, ya know." He said.

"I-I'm so sorry. It was my fault, really!" A girl with pink hair said apologetically.

"Hey! Let Konohamaru go!" A boy in an orange jumpsuit said.

"Punks like you annoy me." Kankuro said. He reached for his puppet, Crow.

"Y-you're gonna use Crow? What if they see?!" Temari practically screamed.

"Please. We have plenty of time before they come."

"Fine, but I'm not in this!" Temari said.

As if it was times, a rock came down and hit Kankuro on the head. He looked up with agitation written all over his face.

"Who are you and what are you doing in our village." The boy who thew the rock said. He tossed up another rock, then caught it. When he opened his hand, all that came out was little bits and grains of what once was.

"You kids are idiots, aren't you? We're here for the Chunin Exams. We have permission to be here." Temari said, pulling out her pass.

"I oughta teach you a le-" Kankuro started, but was cut off by Gaara and I.

"Kankuro." I said with a stoic face, crossed arms, and a bit of threat hiding in my voice.

"Shut up.." Gaara started, looking exactly the same as me.
