An Explanation

"Laurance, why did you leave me?" I asked him again,

"Aph, I wasn't honest with you those 2 months ago, my father didn't need my help. Aph, my father is dead." Laurance said with tears in his eyes and an ashamed look upon his face.

"Oh my Irene, Laurance..." I couldn't finish my sentence for Laurance had rapped his arms around me, it was clear he was hurting and needed comfort, I returned his hug.

"Laurance, I didn't mean it." I whispered into his ear, he broke from our hug,
"Mean what Aph?" He asked confused. "Laurance, when you first left I said I hated you, I didn't mean it." Laurance just stared into my eyes and I saw pain, then I saw love.

I sat on the couch in my living room, Laurance has been here for a week now. I know he would never willingly step down as lord of Meteli, but I can only hope he might change his mind. I heard a knock on the door and got up to answer it, it was Dante. He stood in front of me looking ridiculous in some sort of bard costume,
"Yo Aphmau, Laurance thinks you're hot so he wants you to go on a date wit him" Dante said. I heard a yell from the woods,
"DANTE THAT WASN'T IN TYE SCRIPT!". I giggled,
"Oh of cour- I mean, Yeah I'm cool wit dat" I said mimicking Dante. He rolled his eyes and began to walk home, but not before ripping off the ridiculous costume, leaving him in skinny leggings.
"DANTE YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS IN TIGHT PANTS!" I screamed between loud guffaws, Laurance fell out of his tree laughing so hard. After Dante walked away Laurance came towards me,
"So you really w-want to go on a date?" He asked nervously,
"Yeah I'm cool wit dat" I said again. He laughed and walked away, I walked back inside and sat on the couch. I looked at the TV but to my horror, I had forgot to pause the show, "NOOOOO" I cried out in sorrow. Why me?!?!?
