Chapter 2 ( Camp )

Lily's POV

I got off my bike and walked to a women with long brown hair and a little kid. " Hi" she looked up and Smiled at me " Hello there I'm Lori and this is my this is my son Carl what's your name?" I was embarrassed because I forgot to give my name "I'm sorry I forgot I'm Lily nice to meet you."I looked around and saw two guys one with blonde hair and blue eyes he was tall and looked like he was in the army. The the guy next to him caught my eye he was shorter than the first one but he had short brown hair he had piercing blue eyes. After 5 minutes looking at him the taller one who i'm guessing is his brother whispered something in his ear that caused his to look at me I quickly looked away but I looked back at him and noticed he had a crossbow and I also noticed he was looking right at me. "Okay everyone I'm Shane and I will be in charge for a while until we get control over things okay first we need food Does anyone hunt." I raised my hand and so did the guy with the crossbow I smiled noticing that we have the same hobby. " Okay come here and tell me your names." I nodded and went up there where Shane was " I'm Lily" and I'm Daryl" he said with a smirk that can make a girls melt just by looking at it. "Well we better be heading off before it gets dark." I said  he nodded we started to head towards the woods when someone grabbed my arm I turned around fast to see who grabbed my arm it was Glenn "be careful okay I don't want you getting hurt." I nodded "I'll be fine don't worry it will only be a few hours besides I have someone to help me if i'm in trouble." I said. I turned back and started walking again and I noticed Daryl was starring at me I looked at him" what?" He looked away "so are you and and Asian together or something ?" I laughed at his comment " No we are friends and he is Korean" He looked at me again " Okay and whatever" he said sounding annoyed. I saw a deer and held my hand up signaling to stop he froze for a second " Why did we stop?" I looked ahead and pointed out a deer" There is a deer and I have a way to kill it without disturbing it." He nodded so I went to a tree and climbed up. I climbed to a steady branch and climb to the next tree and found a steady branch. I got a arrow loaded it to my crossbow then I hung my arrow pack on a branch and hung upside down and aimed at the deer and shot it in the leg . It ran off before I could load another arrow so I grabbed my arrows and jumped out of the tree. when I landed I lost my footing and started to fall, but before I hit the ground strong arms wrapped around my waist.

Daryl's POV  

Lily was in the tree and I was watching her surroundings when Black and blue arrow was shot at the deer's legs and it ran." I could track it"I thought I looked at lily " man she is amazing and pretty I mean she can hunt I have never met a girl who can hunt like that she is smart when it comes to it." I came back to reality when Lily was jumping out of the tree when she landed she lost her foot so I ran towards her and wrapped my arms around her waist and caught her before she fell to the  ground. I helped her up and I looked at her face and it was all red she was blushing " her blush is so cute I thought" I looked the way the deer went and was about to say something but she beat me to it. " We can still get the deer I'm a really good tracker." I looked at her and smirked "Well I can track too" she nodded and started walking "she was just like me she can track she can hunt she has a crossbow which she is pretty good at but I can help her improve and she prefers not to use a gun she was like my other half wait what am I thinking I just met her" I was so caught in my thoughts that I didn't hear Lily calling my name until she grabbed my hand.My mind went wild and I looked at her and smirked.

Lily's POV   

He looked at me and smirked so I smirked back and held his hand tighter and he stared to blushed so I laughed and Let go his hand I saw a squirrel and shot them between the eyes by the time  we got back to the camp I had caught 15 squirrels Daryl caught about 5 squirrels Shane was talking to Glenn a blonde headed chick I think Andrea I think T-dog and Daryl's brother . Daryl and I walked up and set the food we got down and joined the conversation "okay I need you to go get some more supplies so I need you four to go to Atlanta." I was shocked I went to Glenn  "I need you to be careful okay don't die on me." I said full of worry he smiled " I won't " he said he ran to the truck with others to go to the city. I ran back to the camp site and started to setup my tent when Shane  came up to me." I heard your very talented with weapons " I smirked " yeah so " I said continuing to put up my tent when I was stopped yet again by Shane " Well I was wondering if you would like to teach the others "No not really I'm good with hunting and living " I said not really caring what he had to say " Okay well you have to share a tent" I looked at him shocked "With who " he didn't answer and lead me to the tent I would stay in "Okay thank?" I questioned I went inside the tent and I started to fix my hair to where I could see then the tent opened as I was changing my shirt I put it on and turned around to find Daryl starring at me my face went red and I picked up my weapons and ran out I ran to the woods and started hunting for more food to bring to the camp just in case the other group didn't bring enough food. I heard foot steps coming from behind me thinking it was a walker I loaded my weapon then I quickly turned around and pointed my weapon at the sound of foot steps to find Daryl coming towards me."Hey look I didn't  know you were in there anyway why were you in my tent ?" He asked I put down my weapon well Shane said I had to share a tent he didn't tell me whose tent he just showed me a tent and said your sleeping here and so I said okay I explained." I turned back around and looked for things to hunt for I found the same deer I shot before and I pointed it out to Daryl who had seemed to noticed as well I shot another arrow and got it in the leg  it ran off but there was no way I was going to let it get away from me this time I started to run after it.

Daryl"s POV

Lily started to run after the deer so I ran after her after about five minutes we stopped we had lost the deer but not it's tracks so we followed them until we heard a scream Lily followed the sound she ran super fast faster than I could ever run. I would steal glimpses of her while she was running I think she noticed because she looked at me and instantly look ahead and acted like I did nothing. Finally we made it to where the scream came from that's when we arrived at the camp to find practically the whole group standing there just looking at the walker until Lily shot it in the head with her crossbow. Everyone looked at her" Awe man we had been tracking this deer for 10 miles do you think we can cut around it? I asked" Lily looked at me and shook her head and walked forward to get her arrow I didn't know why but when I am with her I don't want to lose her " I will keep her near me and safe" I told myself and made sure it wasn't loud enough for anyone to hear and walked forwards looking for my brother Merle that's when I noticed he wasn't here. " where's my brother? I asked "

Lily's POV

Daryl looked around I noticed Glenn I ran up to him and hugged him " hey you didn't die but where's Daryl's brother? I asked "Glenn looked at the ground" Well he kept shooting and drawing walkers attention so the newbie Rick he handcuffed him the the roof we were trapped on so we thought of a plan we got a car and a really big truck and got everyone out then T-Dog told us he dropped the key down a pipe so he ran out locked the door so he could be safe." Glenn explained that is when I heard Daryl yell meaning he probably found out his brother is not here I went up to Daryl and I tried to calm him down" Daryl It's okay I know how you feel I have been through thing like thi......" I was cut off by a hand to my face " shut up you have no what I have been through because your a stupid girl" he said. That really hurt I didn't wan to cry in front of everyone so I ran into the woods and hid behind a tree.

( A few hours later) 

I came out of the woods and people were discussing a plan to go back to Atlanta " I'll go " I said which surprised everyone because they had not noticed I was there Shane then nodded "Okay" I headed towards my motorcycle and rode off with the rest of the group.
