A/N: I'm afraid this is the last chapter. But I had a ton of fun writing this. It was kind of different and cute and I just love Clarke and Lexa so much.
"Good Ophelia, again!" Lexa encouraged as she fought with a large wooden stick against Ophelia. She was now 16 years old and ready for everything. She was beautiful, strong, smart and kind. Exactly how Lexa believed she would be. Lexa was pushed back with the force her daughter used and smirked. "Is that the best you can do?"
Ophelia groaned and twirled around, pushing her stick against Lexa's with as much force as she could muster. She saw the stick fall from Lexa's hands and grinned. "Is that good enough for you, mom?"
"Soon enough you will be able to fight your own battles," Lexa confirmed. There wasn't war anymore. Lexa has achieved unachievable as the commander. She has lived longer than any commander before, she defeated Ice Nation, ended Reapers, seen the Mountain fall, had her own family. None of these things were even a possibility before.
"Good, because Octavia has asked me to come with her to Boat people because they have been getting attacked by some beasts," Ophelia said and grinned hopefully.
Lexa sighed, unsure. "I am aware of the situation, yes. It was my call to send some of our warriors to help them, but I do not think your mom is going to agree with this. She is very protective and she would worry too much."
"Worry too much about what?" Clarke asked, appearing out of no where and startling both Lexa and Ophelia. "Seriously, what should I worry about?" Ophelia looked at her sheepishly while Lexa lowered her head, avoiding eye contact. Clarke knew it was because Lexa didn't know how to lie to her. "Ophelia," Clarke warned.
The girl groaned. "Fine. O and Lincoln are going out to help Boat people with the beast problem they've been having and mom said I'm already a great warrior and I asked her if I can go with them. Then she said you wouldn't let me because you'd be too worried about me."
"You would just let her go?" Clarke asked Lexa.
Lexa furrowed her brows. "I am still getting used to your traditions, but yes I would. As you know I was already a commander at the age of 16. And she would always be with our people, I wouldn't be worried. Octavia is leaving Lily in Arkadia for the short period of time when they'll be gone." Lily was Lincoln and Octavia's daughter. She was 6 years old and completely in love with everything on Earth. Sun, water, flowers, butterflies, rain, moon and even snow.
Clarke hated when Ophelia was looking at her so hopeful and Lexa did nothing but encourage her. She understood their ways, learned to love them - during peace, and she knew why Lexa had no problems with this. "How long would it take?"
"Four days," Ophelia answered, already excited. "We would leave tonight and arrive tomorrow. We would track the beasts, kill them, celebrate and return back home."
Clarke found herself caving and she groaned. "Are you absolutely sure that nothing will happen to her?" she asked Lexa.
Lexa nodded. "I would not send her if I wasn't sure. She is my child too."
There was a long pause, Ophelia looking between her moms and tried to figure out whether she convinced them. "You can go," Clarke finally said and saw Ophelia jump happily. "Under one condition. You have to return home safely and without a scratch."
"Deal," Ophelia squealed. "I have to go tell Octavia. Thank you." She sprinted away from them and through the busy crowds in Polis.
Clarke pouted, looking at the spot where her daughter was just standing. Lexa walked closer. "Do not worry, love. Nothing is going to happen to her. Indra is going with them as well. And we still have Jax. He will not leave us."
