Austin Blake. The one everybody wanted, leader of the football team. Most popular guy in school. Player, in two ways. Known as a bit of a jerk. Smart but doesn't try.
---
Oscar James. Very intelligent; book smart. Typical nerd but suprisingly cute (though it goes unacknowledged). Not popular at all. Laughed at for answering questions in class. Has loads of potential. Recently moved schools.

"...So I turn around and I say to her, 'you know that's a car door, it's not automatic'" I say cracking up with laughter. My ex really was stupid.
"Ah, mate that's funny!" my best friend Ed said, "then what'd she do?"
"She went; 'if that's how you're going to be, then this relationship is over'" I clutched my stomach before carrying on, "So I asked her what relationship she was on abput and she turned around back into her house."
I was full on laughing along with the rest of the football team. I say that she is my ex but to be fair, she wasn't. I don't date see, I have a girl attatched to me for a while, get bored and then 'dump' them. They're like make-out buddies.
For the rest of lunch, me and the lads were talking about all the girls I had 'been with' and how stupid they were to think that we could actually be a thing. Oblivious people.
I said goodbye to the team and made my way to my last class of the day: English. I didn't get caught in the halls being squished against the walls because everyone parted for me. It was like i waas royalty

"Ah, so you actually turned up for class today Austin?" My teacher Mr. Riley spoke as I crept in through the door.I made my way to the back and sat in my usual seat where nobody sat next to me. Ed was in this lesson but we wasn't allowed to sit next to eachother.
Halfway through the lesson a hand was raised, I ignored the conversation and tried to get on with my work for once.
[Oscar's P.O.V.]
I timidly raised my hand in the air to gain sir's attention, hoping nobody would laugh at me like at my old school.
"Oh, yes Mr. James?" Mr. Riley spoke
"Uh, I've done the work." I say
"That's great my boy!" he boomed "And fro a new student thats amazing. Why don't you go and help somebody with theirs? How about Austin as he hasn't been on time or here at all for most of the lessons?"
I grumbled under my breath but made my way over to where Austin was sitting and sat down in the empty seat next to him. I had heard that this Austin guy was really popular, so i didn't want to annoy him. He didn't even do as much as look up, so I coughed slightly.
"Hmm." He said before looking up "Oh right, you're the new kid. Erm what do you want?"
"Sir said to help you?" It came out as a question and I shyly looked at him to see his reaction.
"Right okay." He replied flatly
"So....."
---
"That was interesting." I mutter to myself
"Erm, thank-you." Austin awkwardly said, "I guess I owe it to you."
I waved him off, "Oh it's nothing, honestly. Anytime."
