“Aedus!” Adair called out banging on the large oak door that lead to Aedus room . He knew he had made it home because he could hear Aedus stumbling around the whole damn place trying to sooth his raging headache.
“Leave me alone.” Aedus growled hoping that he would go the hell away and leave him the hell alone. He shifted over and looked at his alarm clock checking to see what time it was. “Adair its only 8:25 go bother someone else.”
“No can do Lachlan wants to see you. He says it’s serious.” Adair shifted his 6’3 frame knowing exactly what Lachlan wanted to talk about. There was a mumble then a crash followed by a quick string of curses from the other side of the door. Aedus slipped on some basketball shorts and a tight t-shirt that he found laying across his chair in the corner of his huge room. He told Adair to go and tell the others that he would be down in a minute. After he heard the soft creak of the floorboard on the top stair he headed to his restroom to brush the smell of liquor off his breath. After making sure he looked at least somewhat in his right mind he trudged down the stairs to the office where everyone would be waiting.
Lachlan smelled the light fragrance of liquor before he saw Aedus bust through the door. He knew his brother had issues but this was getting ridiculous.
“Sit down.” Lachlan said running his hands over his face. Aedus looked around the room and saw all six of his brothers standing around the room trying not to look him in the eye. He sat down in the large sturdy chair going into the cold-blooded monster everyone saw him as.
“Aedus where were you last night?” Lachlan said trying his best not to lose his temper.
“I was in the bar helping a friend out.” He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath knowing that he couldn’t let them know that he had one last relative alive, Aislin.
“You would dare lie to your King?” Lachlan yelled shoving his chair against the wall when he got up ready to pounce on Aedus.
“I have no idea of what you’re talking about.” Aedus said not even remotely worried about Lachlan’s behavior. His eyes did a quick scan of the room noticing the tense posture of his other brothers.
