Aine -   AWN - Ya       (Means Radience)

“Aine! Wake-up! We have to go.” Aislin said drawing out the O at the end. It was almost 9:00 and Aine still wouldn’t wake up. Aislin was excited because today was the anniversary of her freedom. It’s been what 300 years, seeing as she was twenty three now--at least to these humans she looked twenty three, and no sign of any of the Morceon Lucern. Maybe they had given up on finding her since Aedus was kind of like her protector. She shook her head and let out a small sigh. Every time she looked at him she felt a piece of her die. What had happened to them had been horrible but for Aedus it had been worse. He never talked about what he went through but he didn’t have to. She knew that whatever or whoever it was had broken him completely.

“Go away Aislin! I want to sleep.” She chuckled and rolled off of Aine making sure to elbow her in the stomach.

“Oomph. That hurt you idiot.” Aislin smiled and made her way to the kitchen of their shared apartment. It was a perfect day today. The sun was out and the sky was clear basically screaming at you to come outside. But there was something else something dark that left a lingering feeling in the bottom of her stomach.

“Did you buy a new microwave?” Aislin yelled back towards where she just left her best friend.

“Nope, now get out of my kitchen before you break something else.” Aine said pulling her brown hair in a braid. Aislin looked at her and secretly cursed herself for cheating on her diet. Sure she was nice and curvy with short black hair and beautiful purplish black eyes. But Aine was just gorgeous. She had long brown hair that cascaded down her thick and lush frame. Her eyes were a beautiful golden brown and her mouth was lush and plump. Perfect kissing lips most guys liked to say.

“As soon as you promise that we’ll go for a walk when you’re done cooking.” She said batting her thick black lashes towards Aine.

“Only if we can stop at Starbucks, I’ve been dying for one of their breakfast sandwiches and maybe even a Frappucino.” Aine said with a sigh. She could never win with Aislin. There was just something about her that made you want to keep her happy. It could just be the fact that she knew exactly how hard Aislin’s life was even though she didn’t show it. If she could she would protect her with her life but she could barely even protect herself.

“Deal.” Aislin said rushing to her bathroom to get ready for the days adventures.

“Lachlan I think we found something. You might want to take a look at it.” Rowan said no emotion coming through his voice. Lachlan looked up from the paperwork that was littering his desk. He couldn’t take on any other projects right now whatever his brothers found he would just have to trust them to take care of it.

“Rowan I trust your judgment on whatever the situation is.” He said dismissing Rowan so he could finish up these reports.

“I think you’re going to want to be the one to look at this.” Rowan said this time showing distress on his face. What could be bothering him like this? If it wasn’t as important as they made it seem they were all screwed, Lachlan thought.

“Very well then,” Lachlan stood and followed Rowan out of his dark office and into the light filled hallway that led to the control room. As they walked Lachlan’s eyes wondered outside to the flower filled garden with birds and bees buzzing about. What would it be like to have someone to walk the garden with? Or someone to tell his problems too, he thought? Yes he had his brothers but hell he couldn’t snuggle with them. Of course he could still talk to them but not in the way he would talk to his wife, his love.

“Lachlan sir we’re here.” Rowan put his hazel eyes up against the retinal scanner before standing up and pushing open the door that appeared in front of them.

“You asked us to watch what Aedus does and keep track of the people he associates with. . .” Rowan stated.

“Well we know the answer to the second one. . . no one.” Lachlan mumbled running his hand through his hair.

“Well that’s why I brought you hear sir. We found some footage from a far away bar,” Rowan hacked into the security cameras and opened up a screen with Aedus downing shot after shot.

“Okay so the dude is having his normal shots what’s so big about that.” Lachlan said starting to get bored.

“Don’t focus so much on Aedus but more on the bartender. See how she has her body at an angle and see her lips moving. At first I thought she was on a Bluetooth but after doing further research I realized that there were only two in the area and none of their signals were coming from her location.”

“So she’s psycho.”

“But look, she throws a freaking cup at the guy and he just walks away. This is Aedus we’re talking about, he doesn’t just walk away.” Rowan said frustrated.

“I want to know every little detail about this girl. Hell if you have to bring her here do it. We need to find out exactly what our brother's been up to." Lachlan said before storming back out into the hallway.
