You Are Just A Bet

Stupid Bet

Samayra's POV:

When Ms.Alka left the classroom, I looked at Saaisha. She looked happy and creepily looking towards Shreyas as she got what she wanted. She can now spend a very big amount of time with Shreyas with the great excuse of science project While Shreyas was busy talking with the other classmates completely oblivious of Saaisha's thoughts. Shreyas was our football team captain looking very handsome with his good athletic physique. Many girls had crush on him. He was quite flirty too but he was good guy. Though there were girls who were happily bounce on him he never took the bad advantage of it. Saaisha truly loved him and I liked this choice of hers. Sometimes she checkout other boy's also like Reyansh but we both knew that they all were just attraction. If she truly liked someone then it was always Shreyas. He was worth of that like, love and passion. Like Reyansh he can also get any girl but he chose to wait for the right person. He chose to wait for a right girl who can make his life more beautiful, more worthy. And most important thing about him that he was my cousin. I knew him since childhood so I knew that what he says, he thinks, he means it.

I asked many times Saaisha to go to Shreyas and admit her feelings about him but she always refused and said "No, when right time will come I will surely do it, until that Samy shut your damn mouth and do not ever try to tell him about my feelings for him. I will tell him that one day but today is not the day." so what could I do. I respect her feelings and obeyed what she said.

"Oh! Common samy it's not that bad, don't make faces, you get a chance to be with one of the hottest guy of our school ' Reyansh'. So baby, go and get him." Saaisha was blabbering while we headed to the locker room. As soon as those words left her mouth I looked at her face with annoying expression. Thought of being with Shreyas I think made her mad so she was may be forgotten that I don't like that jerk. I was going to give her reply when she again spoke, "look I know you don't like him... ("Oh! Thank god she remembers this now." I said this in my mind.) But just give once chance for god sake."

"Chance, whom I have to give chance" I asked.

"Of course to Reyansh, listen I know you think he is jerk but common he is not that bad plus he is really hot. You don't have to be live with him forever. It's just a project where you have to spend some time with him to make your project." I was thinking about what she said when she continued again mischievously "or you are afraid of thought that if you spend more time with him than probably you will fall for him because you actually secretly like him".

"WHAT? Are you serious? Pleassseee....No way. He is not worth of that. I am not afraid of anything nor will I fall for him. I just really don't like him to even stand with him and you are saying god knows what rubbish." I almost screamed at her.

Saaisha was standing in front of me with some unreadable expression on her face. Like she was thinking or knowing something which I did not know and she slowly whispered, "Ok, fine. Some things are there with your emotions towards him which are exist but you are unaware of it and I know you are not going to admit it now so I have no option. I only believe you when you make me do so and that whatever you are saying you should be able to follow."

"Now what it's supposed to mean??" I asked.

"Let's have a bet. You think Reyansh is Jerk and you are so good and strong girl who can't get affected by him because you don't like him at all then be with him, change that jerk into a good boy, make him fall for you truly but the main thing is that you can't fall for him in this process." She was saying it in a serious tone.

I was just looking at her like dumbfounded as her words not seem to process in my mind.

Saaisha looked at my face and continued again "Don't look so dumb Samy, I mean for project you have to be with him so I challenged you that in this time try to change that jerk into a good guy and don't fall for him though he must fall for you. But you have to be stubborn. You should not possess any feeling or any relation with him apart from friendship. Can you accept this challenge, this bet or are you afraid of do so?"

Saaisha said all those things in a manner like she knows what will happen in future and it was her way to warn me or you can say teasing me.

I was on the other hand completely shocked and annoyed.

"You are crazy. Why you even think that we will fall for each other. We don't even like each other and why should I try to change him. I just don't care about him. What happen to you that you are saying those rubbish things and I am not going to involve myself in any stupid bet like that. There is completely no need of such nonsense." I scolded her.

"Why Samy, are you afraid that you will lose eventually because I was right before and you secretly like him and can't hold your emotions if you get agreed for this bet. Samy you are such a loser." she provoked me.

Goddamn girl. Sometimes she can become such a bitch I couldn't think of. She is crazy about bets. Anything that includes word bet or dare or challenge, she loves to look forward into it and I just don't like to play bets at all. But her face, expression, words all are provoked me and guess what! I accepted that stupid, Idiot bet and took a first step into the process which made my life shit.

"Ok, I will do it. I accept the bet now shut your goddamn mouth Saaisha". I said loudly, finally giving full stop to her idiotic talking.

"Yippee, Love you Samy." Saaisha chirped enthusiastically.

But my mind was screaming at the same moment that currently I made such a bad decision of my life which is worse than science project with Reyansh. I was really not getting any good feelings from all this. Why I said yes?? It's all because of Saaisha.

Argh!!....Stupid Saaisha, Stupid Reyansh and Stupid Bet.

I just had to keep one thing in my mind which was, 'Mr. Reyansh you are just a bet...Just one stupid bet which I accepted in the heat of a moment and nothing else...You are just a bet.'
