★★★ Author's note: So the idea for this just came to me the other day...so yeah...sorry for the typos and whatnot. Hey ain't nobody in this world perfect...except fictional characters...so yeah enjoy! ★★★
I remember the first day I met my mother. Although back then I knew her as Ms.Rosalind. Mrs.Greenbrier introduced us one rainy morning, she explained that Ms.Rosalind was going to take me out that day. After I had showered and gotten ready Mrs.Greenbrier took me downstairs to meet Ms. Rosalind.
Before we were completely out of my room I stole a glance at myself in the mirror. My brownish red hair was the way it always was, slightly to the left so it kind of looked like i had mini bangs. My skin was smooth and pale, due to the fact that I loved to read and wasn't the best at sports. My eyes were just as they've always been; mismatched one was manly gray with a tint of dark emerald green and the other was mainly a watery blue (like Chiyo-chan's from Memoirs of a Geisha) which was also tinted with emerald green.
Once we entered the living room, Mrs.Greenbrier introduced us. Ms.Rosalind was around average height and slightly above average weight, making her curves more prominent. She was wearing a simple white v-neck with a pocket on the front, black skinny jeans, and some boots that were a nice brown color like the ones cowboys wear. Her eyes matched the various shades of brown on her boots, due to her walking in the rain. Her hair stopped just below her shoulders and was wavy, and like her boots and clothing was sprinkled with little droplets of water.
She smiled brightly at me and bent down so she was the same height and stuck out her hand so I could shake it. "Hi I'm Sindyl, what's your name?"
I paused, it wasn't everyday that someone got a visitor, and whenever someone did they ended up getting adopted. "My name is Vincent," I slowly let out with a shaky breath. I gently grasped her hand and shook it. Ms. Rosalind instantly smiled wider.
"Well its very nice to meet you Vincent, I'm going to take you out today so we can hang out. If that's okay with you of course."
I thought for a split second, "Yes ma'am, I'd like that very much," Ms.Rosalind smiled warmly and tussled my hair in an affectionate way.
"What a nice, well mannered boy. If that's all Mrs.Greenbrier, may Vincent and I start our day?"
Mrs.Greenbrier looked on the verge of joyous tears "By all means go on."
And with that Ms.Rosalind and I walked out of the house into the sidewalk and towards a car. It was a sleek, shiny and black car. Ms.Rosalind opened up the passenger door for me, after I hopped in she gently closed the door and a few moments later was turning on the car.
A few minutes after we left the street by the house Ms.Rosalind made a weird expression "What kind of music do you like Vincent?"
"I like all kinds of music really."
"What a coincidence, so do I," Ms.Rosalind laughed a little, and turned the radio on. A song that I've never heard came on, it sounded like it was an older song.
"I love this song! It was one of the best when I was a teen," Ms. Rosalind exclaimed, "Treasure, Bruno Mars," she added cooley. I couldn't help but stifle a laugh, she was so peculiar...but in a good way. She started to slightly dance and sing in her seat, just like a kid would.
"If I may ask Ms.Rosalind, where exactly are we going?"
Ms.Rosalind smiled and giggled a little, "That's a surprise. But we need to stop at a few places first."
I thought for a second of where we could possibly be going and looked out the window. It seemed that we were heading towards a big city or something. "How old are you," I absent mindlessly questioned.
