The Fairy's Dance

In the pitch black of the night
When the goblins come to play
And the fairies are flying around
The unicorns prance, the pegasus fly
The mermaids come up to the ground

Through the grotto and under the hedge,
Is where these magic creatures played
And when the moon came out and the stars sang
The magical celebration was never delayed

Finally, the humans were silent,
Their cars and devices were off
The creatures had heard, day after day
The human's minds going aloft

So when these humans went to sleep
The magical creatures came from the deep
And the birds and the bugs began to creep
To see the creatures dance and leap

They danced through the night on the silvery moon
when the stars were singing aloud
And as a child, I was there,
Among the magical crowd

I was the only child there,
For I could see them during the day
And at night I would come to dance
I would dance in the most magical way

The fairies have gone, my time has run out
And even though now they have fled
I still imagine our magical night
While I am lying still in my bed

The magic is real, it always was
Even if you could not see
There is proof that it exists and thrives
I am as great an example as can be

Now when you think there is no hope
That your light has gone and faded out
Remember the fairy's magical dance
Imagine them dancing about

Magic is here, and here to stay
So stay as young as you may,
and the fairies magic will never stray
The fairy's dance will light your way
