Highschool.

Today is Friday, August 14, 2013. My first day of highschool. Not just any highschool, my NEW highschool. I don't know a single person, and those that I do, I dislike. I go to the main office as I am told and am handed my schedule. Surpisingly it's much different than the one I planned at my old school. I also get led through the halls and to my classes by a very handsome sophomore, Connor Engle. He has dark brown short hair with green eyes and a cute nose. By the t-shirt he is wearing I can tell he is into sports. Big time. Just like Brandon. I miss him. It's so different starting your first day of highschool without your best friends. Connor stops at a door and says welcome to algebra. A girl comes over and drags him away. He gives me a quick wink and says see you next period! The girl gave me a rude look. She must be his girlfriend. Why would she be jealous of me? I'm Jane. Nothing special. Connor is waiting for me after class on his phone. He turns around and grabs my schedule. "Looks like you have pe next, that's across the school, we have to hurry." Shuffling through the hustle and bustle of highschool I manage to text Julie, knowing she's always secretly on her phone. "How's it going there? I'm with a super hot guy ;) miss u" We get to the locker room and Conner says "I wish I could go in, but I can't, sorry." I laugh and say that's fine. Connor hurrys off to his next class and says "Oh algebra homework needs done by the end of the day!" Great. I'm horrible at math. Too bad Brandons not here. I walk into the locker room expecting everyone to be busy changing but instead, everyone turns to me, staring. The popular girl, the same one who was with Connor gives me a snide look and says "Looking for the ocean whale? This is pe. You have the wrong room." Everyone laughs and I am utterly embarrased. With that she walks out. I mean, I'm a little pudgy, but am I really a whale? I quickly get changed and go introduce myself to the gym teacher and say I need to go to the nurse. He gives me an odd look and says okay. I hurry off hoping to find a bathroom nearby, in the corner of my eye I see that girl glaring at me happily. Oh joy. My first enemy. I go into the bathroom and start sobbing. I text Brandon telling him to call me and I need him. Surprisingly he texts right back "k babe just a minute". I wait for three minutes and Brandon is calling me. Still sobbing, I mutter a "Brando help me." He senses in my voice something is wrong and says "Jane are you okay? Is it really that bad there? I'm so sorry." I say yes and tell him what happened. While talking we realize we have the same study halls and he says "Text me your algebra and I'll work the problems out for you, okay?" I say thank you and he says "Listen Janey it will be okay. You just have to make it the first day. Text me if you need anything else. Oh, and meet me at 5 at my house." I smile and suddenly feel better. I told Julie I was coming over tonight, since it's Friday. But she will understand, I mean it's Brandon after all.

After my breakdown everything went as good as it could. Possibly because of Brandon. Connor even gave me his number!
