My mom's going to kill me when she sees that half of our front lawn is destroyed by Harper's car. Then again, I don't even know if she'll notice, she's always so tired when she gets home. Harper's car, was a true thing of beauty. A red 1967 convertible Chevrolet Impala, complete with leather seats so cracked it looked like the sahara desert. Music blared front the tiny car and even through all the hard-rock, I could hear Lexi's giggles.

"well come on prick, this band of misfits don't wait for no one!" Zach yells as he climbs into the back seat via rolled-down-window. I walk around to the other side of the car, only to find the front passenger seat was occupied by Lexi, and the back two seats were filled with Jadyn and Zach.

Lexi climbs out and plus the front seat forward, revealing a gap I'm sure only toddlers could fit through.

"Sorry! You'll have to sit on someone's lap. Zach?" Harper screams over the music. I already feel a massive headache coming on.

"No way in HELL am I letting the prick sit on me." Zach glares at me, I glare right back at him.

"S'okay, he can sit between us, make room Dickhead!" Jadyn rams his shoulder into Zach, and he reluctantly scoots over. I have to climb over Jadyn's knees before squishing in between the two boys.

Harper pulls out of the driveway she made on my front grass, and screeches out of the neighborhood. I reach for a seatbelt, only to find there is none. Panic strikes me and I grip my seat so hard my knuckles turn white. Jadyn catches my fear and laughs.

"Don't worrryyyyy! Harp passed her test, after three of four failed attempts of course, she is legally safe to drive." Wait, did he say she failed her test three of four times?! I suddenly regret getting in the car at all.

"Six! To be exact!" Harper bellows. We swerve onto a four lane highway and head for the heart of the town. I've never really been out this late, never really had a reason to, and seeing the city lights at night was unbelievable. Bright oranges of the store fronts and the red lights of cars make the world seem bright and psychedelic. Few cars are out now, and even fewer people roam the streets. It hit me then that I didn't actually know where we were headed.

"Um, Harper?" I say, she doesn't faze. With the punk rock blaring throughout the speakers I can barely hear myself.

"Harper!" I yell, this time she turns around. "What?!" She screams back.

"Where are we going?!" I holler to her. She turns around, letting go of the wheel. My stomach flips, she still is pressing the gas pedal with her foot, but she isn't even looking at the road. Lexi casually grabs the wheel and steers us, Harper still turned towards me.

"We, my dear fresh meat friend, are going to the magical mystical absolutely astounding world of Oz." She grins mischievously and winks at me. Jadyn leans in close and yells into my ear, "SHE MEANS WE'RE GOING TO GET FOOD." Harper smiles, and faces the front again, taking the wheel from Lexi's grasp.

"Food? Like, taco bell or something?" I ask Jadyn. He nods, his shaggy black/brown hair dancing to the beat of the music.  I hear Harper gasp loudly over the noise.

"TACO BEEEELLLLL! Fantastic suggestion Leo! I was planning on going to Baskin Robbins for some cookie dough heaven but Taco Bell is WAAAYYYY better for night drives." We approach an intersection at wild speeds, and Harper switches lanes (Without a turn signal I may add) and squeals around a corner. I plummet into Zach, and Jadyn plummets into me. Lexi seems unfazed by Harper's crazy driving, and calmly types away on her cell.
