I felt the wind against my face. I opened my eyes, and found myself alone, in a dark place. My memory was fogged. What had happened yesterday? Where was I now? I remember a scream, a cry for help. I remembered the color white. I remembered someone that I was very close with calling out my name. What was my name? Who was this person? I couldn't remember. All I knew is that I was the only one who could save them, and I had to save them. But from what, I wasn't sure. I looked around. I was floating. There was blackness for miles around me. There was nothing, expect a gentle wind. The wind made no noise. The strange place I was in was covered with a eerie silence. Was there a way out? Now did I even get here in the first place? Why had I lost my memory? The few things I knew didn't add up. I stained myself. Come on, I told myself. Think of something. Anything. My eyes went wide as a name entered my mind. Mabel. Was that the person I needed to save? The word was so familiar, like something I'd known all my life. Mabel. Mabel. Mabel. Thinking of it gave me a sense of calmness. Even though I had no idea where I was, who I was, and what was going on. I stayed floating in the darkness, repeating the name. I noticed that I was wearing a hat. I pulled it off and looked at it. It was blue and white, with a blue pine tree on it. Why was this so familiar? The image stayed in my head. Thinking about it made my past seem closer. I felt like my memories were on the tip of my tongue. Maybe if I kept looking for things, they could help jog my memory! I felt around my clothes and noticed a book in my vest. I pulled it out quickly. It looked very old. It had a maroon cover, that had a gold six-fingered hand on it. On the hand was the number three. This too, set of a kind of spark. I know what this is...or I used to. This is important. And I can't let him get it. I remembered my last thought. Who's "him?" Did he do something to Mabel? Why can't I remember? Did he do this to me? Why don't I know anything? Maybe I just have amnesia and this is a crazy dream. My head hurt from thinking to hard. So I closed my eyes to try to get some sleep. Maybe that would help. But just as I was dozing off, a voice that seemed somewhat familiar, spoke. And it was a voice that I knew I didn't like for some reason.
"About time you woke up! You looked dead for a while! And you were starting to worry lil ol me!"
