Chapter 5

*Lilian's POV*

"What type of dog is he?" He had a voice like smooth velvet.

I quickly looked down and said "h-he's an Akita"

"Name?" I mumbled "Bernard"

"And he's yours I presume?"

He grabbed my chin gently and said "when I talk to a beautiful lady, it's nice to hear her voice while looking into her eyes" oh god. I think I just wet myself.

I gulped "yes sir, he's mine" I smiled with pride while looking at my beautiful dog. "He truly is gorgeous"

"Thank you. I've loved him since day one and nothing will change that."

"I take it your boyfriend bought him for you?" He said boyfriend stiffly.

"No sir, I've never had an actual boyfriend since I was 14. No other man I've gotten to know has been able to win over my heart."

"What's your name, miss?" I blushed "Lilian Marie Edwards, sir. And you?"

"Jacob Martin Keptin. Would you join me for some coffee and possibly learn more about each other?" He blushed and I wanted to jump his bones by how sexy that looked.

"Yes sir, tha-"

"Lily, just because I'm a marine, does not mean you need to address me as sir. Please, call me jake" he smiled and I stood there gawking.

I had just realized, he's wearing a uniform. He's tan. Black short hair. He has a very toned body (and that's just what I can see with his clothes on), I stopped daydreaming when I heard him chuckle lightly.

"O-of course, jake. Um, well considering you are the first man that Bernard has never tried to harm, would you want to come to my home for lunch?" I looked down and blushed. "I would be honored, Lily" he smirked and held out his elbow for me to grab. "Lead the way, M'lady" I giggled and started walking back home.

Lets hope this wonderful man is in my age range, shall we?
