The Beginning

It's another of a boring, normal teenager day. Waking up, get dressed, eat and go to school. I don't really want to go to school. It's so boring. Not like I would stay home either. Knowing my parents having more of a liking my siblings more than me. Oh well, I am the middle child.

I was getting ready for another fun filled day of education. When suddenly someone was screaming.

"Don't do that! You will ruin my hair!" Screamed an older female voice.

Ahh....that must be my older and younger sisters fighting....again. They always do. Jessie is the eldest sister at age 16. She has medium, blue hair. She wanted to die it because it's the cool thing to do. With light blue eyes, which are natural. She is tall and skiny. Basically an image of a model and is treated like a star.

My younger sister, Mila, is 10. She has short, dark brown hair. Her eyes are hazel. She is really short and could pass as a 7 year old. Mila, is the dancer in the family. She loves to dance. I seen all of her performances. Although, she has a tendency of following and mimicking absolutely everything Jessie does. I find it cute. While the whole family finds it annoying.

I finished getting ready and looked at the mirror. I myself have really long light brown hair that reaches my lower back. Perhaps lower. My eyes are hazel. Very normal if I do say so myself. I was in deep thought when I noticed my ears and tail reappeared again. 'Aww man...I need to control it. Not let everyone see. I would get in so much trouble. Even my siblings cant see me like this.'

I started to walk downstairs. One step after the other. My house is three floors high. Technically four if you count the attic. Which is currently my room. I live in the middle of nowhere. Well, not exactly but it seems like it. I prefer the woods than the city anyways. Always with people bustling about. Trying to do what they need to do.

I made it to the kitchen. My mother made breakfast for everyone. She seems to be in higher spirits than usual. She is really sick. So she doesn't do much. But we all rely on her as we would to any mother.

"Hey, if you want to make it to the carnival it already past." yelled my older brother.

He is 17, and his name is Dorian. But our family has nicknamed him Dory. He is popular with women and is also an athlete. He has a very funny personality known as make fun of me when he can and not get caught. His short blond hair and light blue eyes are what makes him look like a delinquent. I mean he doesn't do his homework or anything of the sort.

"Last time I checked they wanted a person who could run but not have the ability to do math." I responded.

"That's rude, Alicia!" My father complained. "Sit down and eat! Then leave!" He continued to yell.

I did what I was told and sat down and ate quietly. My father often abused me because I was different. I have these strange powers and abilities. I was told if I was to use them even once. He would disown me.

"Brother, walk with me to school." Said the youngest.

He always enjoys hanging out with Dory. Thinks he is all cool and all. He is currently 7. He has no special talent. He looks like Mila. They could pass off as twins. As they act the same, look the same, they even have the same height.

"I'm off," I said as I got up.

"Don't forget, if you disobey you will lose this family," Father reminded.

"Okay!" Was my only response before I closed the door.

He often reminded me like that, even in front of my syblings. Maybe thats why I always get picked on. I was walking on the gravel path that leads to the main road. The main road is not that far off from the city.

The trees are beautiful as always. The scenery is perfect. I could hear a water fall, birds chirping and horses headed towards me.

We have horses. It came with the property. It's like we leave in the farm but I always do the work.

I almost made it to the main road. When I suddenly heard people yelling. I looked over to see a group of three teenagers. Mostlikely my age, if not a year or two older than me.

"Roberto, why would you lie that this was a shortcut to school!" Said a man with brown hair and what seemed to be emerald eyes.

"I didn't lie!" Yelled a light brown haired man. His eyes are like the same exact colour as his hair. Didn't they say his name was Roberto?

The purple haired man with the same coloured eyes said nothing. He looked rather annoyed.

"We should head back. If we don't we will be late for school." Ordered the man with emerald eyes.

With that they left. Why were they going this way? They seem lost. The only way is to continue on the main route but they are going the complete opposite way.

"Hello! Are you lost?" I asked without thinking.

They looked over at me with annoyed faces. I didn't care though. As long as they make it to school on time.

"The way to school is this way. On the main road. If you continue on it, you will see a sign called Larris Highschool. Then you take a left."

They looked at me dumbfounded.

"What do you want?" So the purple haired man speaks. Good to know...?

"Nothing, you guys looked a little lost. So it's a normal thing to do to help someone who is. As long as I know what I am talking about." With that I left in the direction that I just mentioned.
