Harry P.O.V

I thought about what Katherine said, and decided to go against it anyway. I knew what I had to do, and I knew it wasn't going to be easy at all.

I went to Katherine's house and went up to her bedroom. I knocked and when she opened the door she smiled at me and wrapped me in a hug.

"Gosh, I couldn't wait to see you... It feels like it's been forever..." Audrey smiled as she kissed me. I kissed her back, and savored every moment of it because I didn't know when I'd get to do it again. I had no idea how'd she react to what I was about to say.

"No one is home right now except for the help, as have about thirty minutes." She said and took off a sweater she had on. I stood there with my hands stuffed in my pockets, she furrowed her eyebrows at me.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she walked up to me.

"Audrey, I need to tell you something." I sighed. I looked at the floor, avoiding eye contact.

"You know you can tell me anything." Audrey said as she took my hand.

"When I met you, I wasn't into you at all." I told her and she smiled.

"Trust me, the feeling was mutual..." She laughed and left scattered kissed on my mouth and when she looked into my eyes her smile faded.

"This isn't working out for me." I told her and she pouted. "It's not you, it's me."

"What?" She asked, and now I couldn't even look her in the eyes. I walked to the nearest window, turning my back to her.

"I don't care about you Audrey, and I never did. I only pursued you to see what you were like in bed." I said, my voice getting shaky. All I said was a lie, but it was to protect Audrey. She had her whole life ahead of her, and I couldn't ruin that for her.

"You don't mean that." Audrey shook her head... "Stop joking."

"You don't know anything." I shouted turning to her. "You don't know me. I met someone else, someone better. I love her, not you."

"Stop..." Audrey shook her head.

"No you stop. Why can't you get this through your thick skull, you mean nothing to me." I lied. "You were just a conquest."

"I don't believe you, Harry. You're shaking." Audrey said. "Is that what you came to tell me? If so you're completely fucked up. Get out!"

I walked to her to try to hug her.

"Don't touch me... Don't touch me... Don't fucking touch me, Harry! Get out!" She screamed at the top of her lungs then slapped my face firmly. A tear ran down my cheek and I walked out of her room, closing the door behind me.

I sat in the corner of Katherine's room in a seat thinking over and over about what she said. I knew she wanted the worse for me, she couldn't see anyone but herself happy. I waited until she came home, and she jumped once she spotted me. I had sunglasses on, and a mute face.

"That's a little mellow-dramatic, don't you think?" She asked and I rested my hand on the side table next to me. There was a champagne bottle in some ice next to me. Then I took off my glasses and hoped my dried tears weren't visible to her.

"It's over." I told her and she crossed her arms. "You were right, I can't change."

I picked up the champagne bottle and held it up.

"I thought we should celebrate." I smiled and she sighed as she sat on her bed.

"I would love to, but I can't. I'm expecting company." Katherine said with a smile. I had already taken care of that dilemma for her.

"Let me guess, Ronald?" I asked and she sighed.

"Not that it's any of your business, but yes." She said smoothly. I went into the breast pocket of my jacket and pulled out an envelope.

"From Ronald..." I read out load. "I didn't open it, but I'm guessing it goes something like yada-yada-yada I care about you, we can still be friends, etc. etc. etc."

"And why would it say that?" Katherine asked with a scowl.

"You see, I figured you'd be busy around this time a day in a Saturday afternoon, so I arranged a little meeting with Ronald and Cecile. I told Cecile that Ronald was sleeping with you, and now Ronald has his hands tied." I told Katherine as I popped the champagne cork and poured champagne into two flutes.

"Well done." She said as I walked over to her with the champagne flutes.

"Thank you." I smiled. "Now where were we? Oh yes, the celebration..." I said and handed her a flute. "What shall we toast to?"

"To my triumph." She answered arrogantly.

"That's not my choice of toast, but, why not?" I said and held up the glass. "To your triumph." I said and knocked back the whole champagne flute. Katherine giggled evilly, and I felt like I was in an old 1950s movie.

"Silly rabbit, my triumph isn't over." Katherine laughed and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You are so arrogant. You given up the only girl you ever loved because I threatened your little reputation. Don't you see? You're just a toy, Harry. A little toy I like to play with, and it's the saddest thing I've ever heard." Katherine said and I was so angry my hands formed into fists. My jaw felt wired shut, I couldn't find words.

Katherine stood up and walked up to me and handed me her champagne.

"So I guess you came here to make arrangements, but I don't fuck losers." She said with an evil grin. I felt it was my time to leave the room before I choked the whore out, and I turned around and walked out.

After Harry left, my heart broke. I sat on my bed in my dark room and a tear fell down my cheek.

"Goodbye, Harry." I whispered. I didn't want to hurt anyone when I began this, all I wanted was fucking revenge on Daniel. And somehow, one thing went to another, this whole bet that has nothing to do with Daniel or Cecile began and now I find myself alone.

As usual. And that is the saddest thing I've ever heard.

I immediately went to Audrey's house in order to beg for her forgiveness. I knocked on the door and her mother answered.

"Is Audrey here?" I asked and her mother frowned.

"I'm sorry she's not." Her mother said, I could tell she was lying.

"Audrey!" I shouted into her house and her mother blocked me. "Audrey!"

"I am hosting a house warming party at the moment, now please, leave." Audrey's mother asked and I sighed. I looked at the package I held in my hands with a letter. "Please make sure she gets this, ok?" I asked handing her mother the package.

"I will." Her mother said.

"Please." I begged, holding back tears. Her mother then shut the door in my face.
