Chapter 2.5: The Truth

I fucked up.

"Susano?"

"Don't tell anyone."

"Why though? Thank you for saving me by the way."

"Secret. That's my job."

There was a moment of awkward silence between us, I kept staring at her with my faded bloodshot eyes, hands in my pocket checking whether my trigger still exists. I looked around and I wanted to break the awkwardness.

"Where di-"

"Why did-"

"You first. Let's walk out of here while we're at it.", I walked infront, thinking about the situation I'm in.

"Okay. Why...... didn't you look around before changing back?"

My eyes popped out and I let out a chuckle. She looked at me and laughed.

"I'm sorry... *laughing* What? *still laughing*"

"You heard me. You're so careless you know that Susano?"

"I don't know. It always happens. I keep forgetting, I'm so sorry.", my words jumbled and I was still laughing because of how careless I was. I looked at her and still, she was laughing so hard she had to hold her tummy.

"Anyways, where did the civilian go?"

She wiped her tears off and said,"Oh, he walked to a nearby hospital. He's still in shock though."

"How about you? How are you holding up?"

"I'm fine... I just. I hate them so much. Everytime I see them I get so angry an-"

Instantly I felt a hand on the back of my head and another hand on my back, I looked down and I see her face on my chest.

"There there, it's okay. I'm here."

My eyes went weak and tears flowed down to my body. I remember the times where my mother would hug me when I was down. I remember the time where my mother was killed infront of my eyes, by The Organisation.

I wiped my eyes in a manly fashion, (trying not to show that I did in fact cried in front of Alice.... How embarassing....) told her that I needed to do something important. We parted ways, her going back to school, and I went to a nearby alleyway.
