*Mel's POV*
Spencer woke me at about 6 the next morning.
"Hey. I'm going to work. Your uncle's gonna be over soon." he said. "He's bringing Jack over, too."
"Okay. Have fun at work." I mumbled, just wanting to go back to sleep. He laughed and kissed my head.
It was officially day 5 of me having amnesia, but I was told enough to act like I knew what was going in.
I thanked God that I remembered Justin because my only memories of him seemed to help a bit.
I listened as Spencer closed the door. I had no desire to get up yet, but when Uncle Hotch got here, I wanted to be dressed and ready for whatever we were gonna do.
I decided to finally get up and get ready.
I got dressed and made some breakfast. While I was brushing my teeth, I heard a knock at the door.
I stopped. Grabbing my gun from my holster (something I would now do if I was ever alone even for a little bit). I held it defensively and called out, "Who is it?!"
"Jack!" called back a little voice. I slowly lowered the gun and opened the door. Quickly, little Jack bounded in and wrapped his little arms around my waist and hugged me.
Sighing with relief, I put my gun back in my holster and returned the hug.
"Are you okay?" Uncle Hotch asked.
"Paranoid." I admitted. "But fine none the less."
"I made you a card, Melanie." Jack said, taking a folded piece of construction paper out of his tiny jeans pocket and passed it to me.
I unfolded it. It read: "Feel better soon, Melany" in crayon. Then, "Melany" was crossed out and "Melanie" was written under it.
"Thanks kiddeo." I said, ruffling his hair. "How about we go to the park today?"
"Okay!" Jack exclaimed. I laughed as I grabbed my coat. I looked back up at Uncle Hotch and I could tell he was seriously thinking about the idea.
"Come on." I said, walking up to him. "You drive."
He chuckled as Jack and I walked out of the apartment. I locked to door behind me and challenged Jack on a race to the car. He agreed and we were off down the stairs.

We arrived to the park. Jack wanted me to push him on the swings, so that's where we went first. Uncle Hotch wouldn't stop looking for any signs of Justin or anyone who could be connected to him.
"Will you calm down?" I asked. "Just enjoy the day with your son and your niece. He won't try anything if you're around."
"We can't always be 100% sure. When revenge is involved, anything is possible."
I rolled my eyes. I remembered this Uncle Hotch. Always consumed in his job. I hoped I wasn't like that. If I was, I was gonna change immediately.
I pushed Jack on the swings. He soon got bored and wanted to go on the slide. I laughed and watched him run to the slide.
"Excuse me." someone said. I turned and seen that the voice belonged to a woman. I smiled at her.
"Hi!" I said.
"Are you Melanie Hotchner?" she asked.
"Um, yeah. Do I know you?" I asked.
"I'm Alexis Gregory!" she said. I gave her a confused look, trying to remember if I had ever met her before. "You rescued my son, Michael Gregory, last year."
"Oh!" I said, trying to act like I remembered. "Yeah, yeah. I think I remember you."
"That's little Mike over there." she said, pointing to a boy playing with Jack. "He's still not completely over what happened. He has nightmares every night."
"I know what those are like." I commented.
"So, how have you been?"
"Good! Good. I'm-uh-engaged now." I said, holding up my left hand.
"That's wonderful! When's the wedding?"
"Three months."
"Oh, that's fantastic! I'm so happy for you!"
I smiled and turned back to Jack. If only I remembered this woman. She seemed nice. And I saved her kid. Who forgets that?! Oh right. Me!
After a bit of awkward silence, Ms. Gregory said, "I'm with someone."
I nodded.
"Cool." was all I could say.
"He's really nice. Mike loves him. I wouldn't be surprised if I was the next one to get married." she said. "But we haven't been dating that long, so I guess I shouldn't even be thinking that way yet."
"Well, if you two love each other, maybe you will get married." I said.
"Maybe. Maybe I'm just not ready yet considering my marriage failed." she shrugged. "But hey, let's not talk about that."
I nodded again. That was all I could really do considering I didn't remember her.
Her little one, Michael, suddenly ran over to us. He hugged his mother and then looked at me.
"Mike, do you remember Melanie?" she asked. He nodded.
"Hey bud! Man, you must've grown a few inches since last time I seen you." I lied. He smiled up at me.
"Well, we must be going. See you again soon, I hope." Ms. Gregory said and smiled at me. I waved goodbye as the two walked away.
I looked over to see Uncle Hotch on the phone. He looked worried. He turned to me and nodded in Jack's direction.
"Jack!" I called. He looked up. "Come here kiddeo!"
He raced over to me. Uncle Hotch joined us, still on the phone.
"I'm with her right now. We're heading back to Reid's apartment now." he said.
"Awe! Why daddy?!" Jack exclaimed. Uncle Hotch gave him a stern look as I put my index finger to my lips, telling him to be quiet.
"Okay. Talk to you soon. Bye." he said and hung up. "Let's go. We're meeting Reid back at your apartment."
"Why?" I asked.
"Justin hacked into Garcia's computer. He's close."
