The Classroom

I was in class, and the teacher was screaming at the top of her lungs. I could hear everyone laughing, as the rain pelted the window. It seemed like night because of the dark, stormy clouds. Someone lost their cool and screamed, " SHUT UP JUST SHUT UP!!". The room went quiet, and the teacher looked at her. Her name was Jen, but everyone called her Rain because of her last name. Her hair is frost white but I swear on some days it's slightly light blue. Her blue eyes scanned the room with her face beat-red. I couldn't blame her, it sounded like a riot. I felt a cold breeze, and apparently the teacher, Mrs. Wilson, felt it too. She lifted her stare and walked to the thermostat, " Thank you, Rain, for .. Breaking the noise, however I had it under control. There was no need for you to raise your voice." The room felt colder now, " Wow! I-It's 60 degrees in here! Huh- 59, 58 , 54 , 50!" I glance back at Rain, and I notice a blue stripe in her hair, " What's happening?" I mouth. She doesn't reply, instead she stared at me. I started shivering as I noticed the cold. Everyone had their arms in their shirts. I looked out the window. There were puddles of water and it was still raining. As I wait for Mrs. Wilson to turn on the heat I stare out of the window. I put my hand against it and it feels nearly frozen. It was only getting colder. My classmates start murmuring. Curiously I turn around. Rain's lips were blue, and her hair had more blue in it. This is all so odd, I think to myself. I look outside again. The puddles were frozen. " AH!" I scream as I jump away from the window. " I-ICE!" I yell. "Tim! What're you-!" Mrs.Wilson scolds, then she sees the frozen puddles. " The forecast called for 80 degree weather!" She exclaimed. I hear kids murmuring. " Kekeke.." What was that? I turn around. Rain has a smirk on her face. " Kekekeke... Rain, you can't run. You're so weak. Her face is so red. What's wrong with her hair?" She mocks, " Kekeke, I suffered. I've been mocked. Pained. Kekekekeke." She cackled. Frozen rain and snow pelts the window. " Come on Rain, are you struggling? Your highest grade is an 80?! Hahaha!! You laughed then, but how about now?!" The class backed against the walls as she stood up. Her hair was now completely blue. " YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO!?" She screamed. "HYAAAAH!" She grunted and hail busted through the window. Ice hit me and wind whistled through broken whole and cracks. " HAHAHAHA! SCREAM! YOU'RE SO WEAK!!!" I saw the joy in her eyes as she absorbed the screams. The wind blew harder and harder until it busted out the rest of the window. The others screamed. I heard car alarms and screams from outside. The Earth shook beneath as cars caught fire and blew up. I saw debris flying through the air. " HURRICANE!!!" I screamed. I looked at Rain as she laughed, " KEKEKEKE!!". I jump away from the window and look outside again. What I see turns me pale. A bus is flying towards the wall. " BUS! DUCK! RUN!" I run while ducking. The bust hits the wall and busts through, hitting Mrs. Wilson. Her blood is splattered on the cracked wall and the hood of the bus. The wall is ripping away at the wind. Kids where screaming and running. While Rain was laughing, " KEKEKE! YOU CAN'T FAIL ME! I FAIL YOU!" " RAIN STOP!" I scream over the wind.

"WHY SHOULD I!"

" LOOK AT WHAT YOU'RE DOING" My feet started to slip as the wind grew stronger. A few cars blew and the hurricane was engulfed in fire and I screamed.

" KEKEKE! YOU HURT ME! ALL OF YOU. I'M SIMPLY RETURNING THE FAVOR!" Her hair whirled around her.

Even though there was a massive fire-cane behind me I was still freezing. My finger tips were turning blue. Frost was covering the classroom, or what's left of it.

" I NEVER DID! I NEVER HURT YOU! WHAT ABOUT YOUR FRIENDS?! YOUR SISTER, MATILDA?!" I reminded her.

She was quiet. The screams and wind was all I could hear. "She...SHE.. MATILDA!!!" She finally screamed. She fell to her knees. " HOW DO I STOP THIS! HOW HOW HOW HOW!!!!" She started to panic. " DO I HAVE TO.. D- DIE?!"

I looked at her. I think that's what's going to have to happen...

"NOO!!! I-I CAN'T" She yelled. Ice covered her feet and she screamed. Her little sister ran up to the classroom.

" RAIN!!!" Her tears frozen and her arm was burned.

" M-MATILDA! I'M SO SORRY! PLEASE! F-.. FORGIVE ME!!" ice climbed her legs and up her torso. " Matilda I- I love yo-" She was completely frozen into a cube. The storm raged harder and it got colder and colder. Matilda ran up to the cube. She was 8 years old and Rain was 16, like me.
"RAIN!!" she screamed louder than a dog's bark.
" Come on Matilda. Its getting colder and the hurricane is getting closer. " I reached to the little girl. She held her frozen sister in protest.  It was sad. I went up to her. I tried to break the ice on Rain.. Nothing. I saw ice in Matilda's hair. " We need to go find warmth now." I snapped.

She shivered and let go of her sister. She was about to cry.

"Don't cry, it will freeze your eyes."

She stopped and put her head in her shirt.

We walked. Where do we go? How would I know it's safe?

We walked for a while until Matilda was complaining about her hurting legs. I had to carry her. I kept warm by the work but she wasn't doing anything. I started to worry. She could be freezing. Her blood vessels expanding as her blood freezes. I spotted a lit up building. It seemed empty. I opened the door and a gust of warmth hit me like I had just face planted into a pool. I hurried inside. There were blankets as if the people who took refuge in here went out and didn't come back. There was a downstairs basement.

I looked at Matilda. " This is our home now.."

She started crying.
