Chapter Nineteen

--- Tara's POV ---

I was looking through a few magazines until the common room door opened to reveal Ashy. I turned around to see her smiling faintly at me.

" Ashy!!! Where have you been?? We have been worried sick!!" I exclaimed at her

" Tara relax. I just went to the black lake to.... get away"

" Get away from what??"

" Everything!! I'm sick and tired of everything."

" Ashy.... It's going to be okay?? Do you mind if I ask about what happened?"

" Its okay. Parkinson caught me this morning. I was reading the magazine until she came and asked me a question."

" What's the question?"

" She asked if I liked Draco....."

" EEEEEE!!! What did you say????"

" I said yes but as a friend."

" That was okay. But let me guess that wasn't the end of it.." I asked cautiously as Ashy nodded her head.

" She said 'Since you are oh so smart now, why don't you pay a visit to Mudblood Granger?' then she laughed as she walked away."

" Ashy....." I said as I patted her back

" It's fine. I have to go to class and so do you. Im going to go ahead now."

" Okay. See you there. I have to get my books from the dorm so see yah!!"

--- Ashy's POV ---

I was onway to my first class. To my luck it was Potions. Out of all classes it had to be Potions. This is going to be a long day...

Potions class was okay. Not. I did a regular potion that I know most people have mastered it by now. Even Finiggan had not blown up his potion!! But Snape had praised me infront of the whole class again. I wanted to get out of the classroom to get to D.A.D.A. But on my way out I encountered Pug face Parkinson as she smirked at me. This would be the worst.day.ever.

In D.A.D.A. we larned on how to do a couple of spells for defense. Lucky for me I was paired up with Parkinson. Why why why why her?!?? Of all people why her?!??

Everything was going well until Pug Face piped up.

" So Zabini.. Praised again I see.."

" Can you just stop Parkinson?"

" Why should I do that? I don't take orders from you!"

" Just please stop Parkinson. "

" Why?? Are you going to tell on me to Snape?? You are teacher's pet anyway."

" I'm not!!!"

" Now your fiesty I see. Maybe you did get advice with the mudblood. Maybe you are now smart like her unlike before.."

" SHOVE OFF!!! PARKINSON!!" I shouted until everyone was looking at us.

" Detention after dinner Ms. Zabini for shouting in my class." Professor Quirrel said all stern. This was the first time he actually didn't stutter.

" Yes.. Professor." I said looking down.

Next class was History of Magic and then we would have lunch. As usual I didn't go to lunch because I had to see everyone and her. I was starving but I couldn't stand it anymore. I was fed up with everything so I 'accioed' an apple to eat. I couldn't go to black lake where it was obvious that I woyld be there so I headed to the girls bathroom. I headed to the bathroom that no one dared visited as rumors say that there is a ghost in there named Moaning Myrtle.

I went in and it was correct that no one was there. I then washed my face as I slid down the wall and started sobbing.

Why is all of this happening?? Why am I like this?? What have I done to myself?? What is happening now?? Did I change??

As I thought of the word 'change', it made me think clearly of what I could do. My appearance is fine and everything else..so I change my public profile. Before I was kind but cunning Slytherin Princess but now I'm the cunning and witty Slytherin Princess. I thought to myself if I changed and became more vile like how my friends acted..maybe I would be a true Slytherin. For the rest of lunch I just sat and thought of all the possibilities and hings I could do if I would change. But would I actually change for the better or for the worst??
