It tapped the door
Then knocked some more
Till I was right there with itIt clutched my hand
And emptied sand
Into my eyes and lungsIt frowned at my thrill
And gave a piercing shrill
To snap me back to realityIt saw my lonely
And unpredictable worry
And gave a cold grinFor It had won
And found it fun
And cralwed into my brain
