Jace's POV

I could tell that Claire was Calebs' mate by how he looked at her as she and I approached the front porch. I saw her look at him as she said "Mate" and then look down while walking inside. To say Caleb and I was confused would be an understatement. Caleb immediately gave me a nod of acknowldgement and chased after his mate. "I wonder what that was about." I asked my wolf River. "Dude dont ask me, I may be a wolf but when it comes to other guys' mates I haven't the slightest clue." River replied dumbfounded. "Caleb's a great guy I'm sure he'll fix whatever's going on." I stated to River. "He's good at figuring things out and fixing them, that's why we made him our beta." River responded proudly.

I decided I was tired of just standing outside waiting for one or both of them to return while my stomache protested its lack of food. I walked inside and headed for the kitchen needing to walk through the movie room, I think I left Ice Age playing or something like that. I made it through the doorway of the movie room and immediately noticed the heated makeout session Caleb and Claire were having against the wall. "My eyes! My poor innocent Alpha eyes!" I exclaimed causing them to jump apart. Claire blushed profusely while looking down and Caleb sent a death glare my way. "Oh Jace we all know your eyes aren't inncoent." Caleb responded with a clipped tone.

"Who me? I haven't done anything before." I said smirking at them. "Well at least not against the wall of the movie room. I like to keep everything quiet behind closed, locked doors."

"Whatever. Everyone in the pack knows that you are anything but innocent." he responded dryly. I gave Caleb a knowing look and continued toward the kitchen, Claire never once looking from the floor that her eyes were fixed on.

'Hmmm let's see.' I thought to myself as I looked through the pack fridge. 'Leftover lasangua, pizza, spagetti, sandwhich stuff, ooh spagetti." I grabbed the spagetti and turned around popping it into the microwave. "Do you think we'll ever meet our mate?" I asked River as the spagetti heated up. "I hope so. We need our mate." River said sadly, whimpering. I was happy Caleb found his mate but it made me think about me not having found my mate yet. I wanted to meet my mate desperately. "Maybe she'll be in the Light Moon pack." River suggested hopefully to me. 'I sure hope so River' I replied. The Light Moon pack was supposed to come to my pack house for dinner tomorrow evening.

The microwave beeped telling me my spagetti was done. I pulled it out then promtly placed it back in the fridge no longer hungry and turning around and heading for my room.

~A/N~

Hey guys sorry for the short chapter. It was kind of a filler chapter that I tried to write while watching the Stanley Cup playoffs with the LA Kings and Chicago Blackhawks. I can't believe the Blackhawks lost....they're my team!!! Over time had me glued to the TV. Oh well, there's always next year. So let me know what you guys think of the book. If you liked it please vote or comment. Summer's coming, anyone doing something cool? I'm going back to my home town to see some family!!! Can't wait! As always I will try to update as soon as I can and nothing is edited...yet. Hope you enjoy. :)
