Unexpected

Chapter 2

Ava and I arrived at the concert venue early and we were almost the first ones there. There were 3 other girls in line and we started talking to them. The first girl was named Kirra and her favorite was Louis. With her was Elizabeth and her favorite was Niall. The third girl was Alyssa and her favorite was Zayn. We were the first in line and after only about 40 minutes, we were let inside the venue. First we had the M&G so security took us to the room where we waited for the boys to come out. After about 10 minutes we saw Harry peak his head out of a door on one side of the room we were waiting in.

"Hi Harry!" I tried to not be too loud and scream but I wanted him to hear me.

"Hello" he called back in his deep, raspy voice.

When he said hello back, I almost screamed. I restrained though, as to not annoy him. I was literally dying inside.

"Ok listens up girls, they're going to come out but you have to stay calm and quiet. You'll all get your chance to take pictures with them and get them to sign something for you." Paul said.

"Oh my god!! I'm so excited!!" Ava turned to me and said excitedly.

"Me too!!" I said back, just as excitedly.

"Alright, who's first?" Paul asked.

Ava and I stepped forward and walked up to the boys who were standing at the front of the room. They had big goofy smiles on their faces that made them look so cute. For our M&G picture we decided that I would have Harry proposing to me with a Ringpop and Ava had Liam kissing her on the cheek. We also asked Niall, Zayn, and Louis to do Harry's "cupcake" pose. We got our picture taken on my phone and Ava's phone. Then we had all of them sign our white converse. I had Harry sign in red because he's my favorite and Ava had Liam sign in red and the rest of the boys signed in black. Ava and I decided to wait and watch some of the other groups of girls get their picture taken just to see what ideas they came up with. Most of them just posed with all of the boys and and a few of them had their favorite kiss them on the cheek, like Ava did. I looked over at Ava and she looked so happy. It reminded me of the time we went to the beach together when we were younger. We were so happy to be at the beach together. We really thought that nothing could be better. Nothing would make us happier. Little did we know that 12 years later we'd be meeting our idols. My thoughts were interrupted by Paul's voice telling us that it was time to go to sound check for those of us who had passes for it. We pushed our way almost to the front of the crowd by the time they were finishing up the last few checks. They had one last song to try out and Ava and I were practically against the stage! Harry was singing his solo when he winked at somebody. Ava saw it too and insisted that it was too me but I didn't think so. There were so many girls here just for sound check that it could've been to anyone. Or no one in particular, just to the crowd. Once sound check was finished, everyone who had VIP passes headed backstage to hang out with them for a little while before we had to move back out into the arena for the concert. Harry came up to me and said "Hello", again in his deep raspy voice.

"Hi Harry" I smiled.

"Did you have fun at sound check?" he asked.

"Of course!" I answered, still smiling at him.

"I'm glad to hear that." Harry said, smiling back with his cheeky, dimpled smile.

*Ava's P.O.V.*

Lauren was talking to Harry! I was so happy for her! I was just the tiniest bit disappointed though, because Liam hadn't seemed to take as much of a liking to me as Harry did for Lauren. Of course, he wasn't rude or anything, he just didn't make a point to talk to me specifically. After standing around for about 10 minutes I decided to try to talk to Liam. A couple of girls were casually talking with him but quickly moved on and started laughing with Louis

"Hey Liam" I said calmly and smiled sweetly at him.

"Oh hey" he smiled back at me.

"So Harry's really hit it off with my friend over there." I said, chuckling.

"Yea, I haven't seem him smile like that in a while." Liam said.

"They actually look pretty cute together." I said, still smiling.

"Yea, they do" Liam said.

"So, how's the tour been so far?" I asked, hoping he would keep talking with me.

"It's been amaz-" Liam was interrupted by the sound of Paul's voice. He was saying that we only had a few minutes left and we should get ready to go back out to the arena.

"Oh, well I'll let you go so you can get ready for the concert. It was so nice to meet you Liam" I smiled at him but I was really disappointed that I had to leave already. If only I had started talking to him sooner.

"It was lovely meeting you too, uh..." He trailed off and I realized I hadn't introduced myself.

"Oh, it's Ava" I said.

"Well it was lovely meeting you Ava." He said sweetly.

He started to say something else but was quickly swept away by Paul and the rest of the security guards.

*Lauren P.O.V.*

I sprinted over to Ava and nearly knocked her over when I found her.

"Did you talk to Liam?!" I asked.

"Of course! I saw you talking to Harry, what did he say??" She said.

"We mostly talked about the tour, the crazy screaming fans, what it's like to be mobbed. But then he got really sweet and started asking me questions about what I want to do, where I want to go and he just seemed so genuinely interested!" I answered.

"That's so awesome!!" Ava smiled excitedly at me.

"So what did Liam have to say??" I asked.

"Oh, well we only talked for a few minutes because every time I tried to talk to him, there was a group of girls around him. We just talked about the tour a little but nothing happened, obviously." Ava said. "When Paul told everyone it was time to leave though, he started to say something but I have no idea what it might have been. Maybe it was just 'goodbye' but I feel like he was going to say something else." She continued.

"Maybe he was going to ask for your number." I said.

"That's definitely not what he was going to say!" Ava laughed.

"It could have been!" I said back, smiling.

"Haha well anyway, it's time to go and if he was going to say that, it's too late." Ava said, still laughing at me.

"Fine, lets go." I said, laughing along.

"That probably was a bit crazy to think" I thought to myself.

We got out to the arena and ushers working near the entrance to the floor area checked our tickets and led us to the correct section. We stood in our section waiting for the opening band to come out. 5SOS, their opening band, played for about an hour and then there was about a 30 minute intermission while they got One Direction's band equipment set up. When they finally came out, the screams were incredibly loud. They got right into they're first song, Up All Night. During Up All Night, they were jumping around on the stage like they always do and when Harry came close to the edge where I was he winked at me! Of course, all the girls around me screamed but I could tell it was to me. I was so happy that he noticed me and had such interest in me. Liam also waved to Ava. We danced and jumped around and sang along. We were just so excited! This had really been the best day ever.
