"Haneul-ah!"
"I'm here!" I yelled waving my hands at my friend who running happily to me and we hugged each other tight. Well, it's been almost a year that we didn't see another.
"You look like you're gaining weight, Chingu-ah" I said looking at her up and down.
"Blame the food there" She said pouting.
"Whatever! I miss you so much" And we hugged again. We're best best friends since we started college. Her name's Kim Jihye. She's half Korean-Chinese. It's been a year since she went to china to visit her grandparent and also helped her parents' business there. She came back as soon as she finished her work because she loved to live in Korea than her own hometown.
"Ah hmm" Someone cleared his throat and we broke from each other's embrace.
"Oh sorry oppa. How have you been?" I asked bowing. He smiled nodding. He's Jihye's brother, Kim Jihyung. Just like his sister, he's very warm and easy going man who always be there for us. Well, I also had a slight crush on him. But so sad, he's not available. He already had a perfect future bride at china.
"Always fine. But I couldn't sleep well last night because of this monkey kept me awake. She's just too excited to come back" He explained slowly. I chuckled as Jihye nudged his waist.
"I see. Someone was too excited to see someone here" I teased thinking about her missing toward her boyfriend.
"Jihye-ah!!!!!" Talk about him, there he was running toward her with his arms wide-opened. I rolled my eyes at her as her smile grew wide to her ears.
It was a sunny afternoon of Saturday. Four of us went to park around our town. I suggested the siblings to rest. Because of their long journey, they might be tired. But they said they're fine and wanted to hang out together. So we just bought something and placed ourselves comfortably under a big tree in the park. We liked to be there whenever we were free.
For a short detail of my life, I and Jihye just graduated from college and my parents gave me a bookshop as a present. In fact, I should be a designer in my father's company. But I loved to be with books more, maybe that's why they gave me a shop. My brother can help my father anyway.
"Don't you know how much I miss you, Baby?" Oh oh, not that again. I rolled my eyes at the lovely-birds in front of me as Jihyung just gave her a disgusted look.
"You should find your Mr. Right, too, little Byul" he said teasing. I smiled shyly shaking my head.
"What's the big deal, huh? I also still wondering why you don't want to date anyone? Or I miss out something about you? Tell me now!" Jihye looked at me with her suspect eyes.
"Look... it's nothing about it. I... I just don't want to date yet..."
"Not in a mood of love...I see" She rolled her eyes.
"Well..." I had nothing to say and pretended to sip my drink.
"Anyway, we have tried many times to pair you up with our seniors already...but the negative result always appeared" Hyungsoo, Jihye's boyfriend stated. I just gave them a smile.
"They're perfect anyway. I wonder, what kind of man can catch our Byul's attention?" Jihye nudged my arm. I shrugged my shoulders as she shook her head.
"I don't want to see you being alone anymore, byul..." Jihye whined. I chuckled.
"Well, if there's a man walking up to me right now...maybe I can consider and go on a date with him for a day..." I said playfully.
"Deal" Jihyung oppa agreed.
"That's im...."
"Annyeonghaseyo..." As Jihye was about to say 'impossible', a big plushy mascot bear just came out of nowhere and greeted us with his cute echoed voice. I widened my eyes thinking about what I just let out. Jihye pointed her finger at me with her most sarcastic face.
