"Dude we need more ice!" Riley yelled over the loud music.
"In the freezer" I called back.
He nodded and disappeared back into the kitchen.
I continued to talk to a short brunette.

"How come I haven't seen you around school?" I asked with a smirk.
"Home schooled, my friend Katrina brought me here" she giggled.
"Katrina" I rolled my tounge.

"Ya" she smiled, sticking out her chest and raising an eyebrow.
"Okay cool" taking a swig from my Pepsi.

"Ugh" she scoffed then sauntered off.
I shrugged and walked away, I'm not that kinda guy, I can't even go through a conversation with a girl without then throwing themselves at me.

I drifted through the crowd of drunk teens, stopping to smile or wave a
At many of my school friends. The people that were dancing, were bumping and grinding on eachother.

I wandered into the kitchen, this party was annoying, it wasn't really fun. God, it was my own party and I don't even want to be here.
I took a last swig of my Pepsi and crushed the can. I pored myself a shot. Filling it up with some of my moms whiskey.
I lifted the glass to my mouth, letting the warm liquid rush down my throat. It burned causing me to cough and sputter.

I then felt my phone buzz in my pocket.

"Hello?" I asked answering my phone.

"Dude get down here"  Nathan yelled, over the obnoxious music in the backround.

"What? Where are you?" I asked.

"Harper's about to get in a fight, were behind the old Walmart in the old town square" he yelled again.

"Fuck off ya prick" I heard Nathan say faintly.

"Fuck you" a different voice said.

"Nathan! I'll be right there" I yelled than shut off my phone.

I jogged through the kitchen to the front hall. I spotted Leo standing on the stairs.

"I'll be back call me if it gets out if control!" I yelled over the music.
He simply nodded and continued talking to a tall red head that was clearly out of his league.
***
I pulled into the square, the old run down buildings making me want to turn my car around. The fact that it was 11 o'clock at night just made it more creepy.
I spotted the old Walmart and  parked my car in front, I quickly followed a long dirt path through some trees.

"Harper, Harper, Harper!" People chanted, making me break into a jog.

I quickly came to a big group, surrounding something. I caught sight of Nathan and flicked him in the ear.

"Ow!" He yelled.

"What the fuck is going on?!" I questioned.

"Well pretty boy, Harpers fighting a guy" he said his voice icy.

I pushed through the crowd until I saw the two people. There was Harper standing in front of a very scary man. She was wearing a black tanktop, and a pink jacket. A pair of ripped shorts, a pair of black high socks and some biker boots. Her hair was in a elegent up do with hair messily hanging around her face.
The guy through a punch, Harper dodging to the side and kicking him in the back of the knee. He stumbled, Harper shoved him to the ground.

She put a foot on top of his chest, her small body standing over him.

Her nose was bleeding, bruises on her face swelling purple.
Before she could react the man rolled away, knocking her foot off. He grabbed Harper's shoulder and kneed her square in the stomach.

That was it.

Harper went down crying out in pain, as a devilish smirk appeared across his face.

I pushed through the crowd.

I strode right over to the guy.

"What do you want pretty boy?" He chuckled in a deep voice.

"I seem to get called that a lot" I smirked.
I quickly brought up my fist and it connected it with his jaw.

I then kneed him in the stomach, causing him to fall. I kicked him in the ribs, hearing people chanting "Don't stop!!!"

His face was bloody as he huddled on the ground.

I spun around looking at Harper, she was sitting on the ground her eyes widened in horror at the man on the ground.

I quickly offered her my hand and she gratefully took it, I led the way through the crowd and waved to Nate that was standing staring at the man on the ground.

I led her through the path all the way to my car, she quietly slipped into the passenger side.
I got into my car and drove off back towards town.

Before we made it back I pulled the car to a stop on the side of the dark dirt road.

"Harper" I said.
"Don't" she sighed.

"You didn't even know what I was gonna say."

"Your gonna lecture me about fighting him" she said.

She basically just read my mind, she shouldn't of tried to fight that guy. But she's good at fighting.

"You shouldn't of fought him" I sighed running a hand through my hair.

"Why do u care?!" She exploded
"I've known you for 3 days, you shouldn't of gotten in the way I was perfectly fine on my own!" She argued her voice loud and angry.

"Harper you were on the ground clutching your stomach in pain" I said in a soothing voice.

"Just take me home already" she growled.

"Fine"

The rest of the ride was filled with awkward silence. Every once in a while she would glance over at me, but I kept staring at the dark road in front of me.

We drove past the school she spoke up.

"My house is just up here" she said quietly.

I nodded and slowed down, she pointed to the huge house I saw on the first day of school. My jaw dropped and she chuckled.

"It's big" she laughed, as I turned down the long road.

"What do your parents do?" I asked still smiling and still in shock.

"My Parents own Scott's Co." She said with a sad smile.
I knew what Scott's Co. Was, they sold almost everything that had to do with office supplies to furniture, it was a huge company. It was distributed all over.

"That's pretty big" I said.
"Your parents must work a lot" I stated glancing at her.

"Ya" she said with a sigh.
"There almost never home."

We rounded the corner and I parked in front of the big steps of the big white mansion.

"Sorry I was a bitch" she apologized.

What woah?! Rewind.

Harper Scott just apologized, I thought that was totally against the whole being the Badass thing.

I stared at her in shock.

"Wanna take a picture it will last longer" she sighed looking annoyed.

"Sorry I thought-"

"Ya ya, got to go, see ya on Monday" she flipped her hair and got out of my car. She sashayed to the door and kicked it open, throwing me a wink before she kicked it shut.

She's interesting.
Bad temper, can fight a guy and scares the shit out if everyone she meets.
She's also really beautiful, and willing to do anything.

A perfect girl fit for a guy who is willing to give her the world.
