1. Shrug when they point to your knee brace and ask what is wrong with it.
They can't handle knowing
that someone so young
doesn't have answers
to such trivial pain2. Yawn excessively when shopping, mutter you're fatigued to the person accompanying you.
They can't handle seeing
someone as young as you
loudly declaring you are not lazy
you are chronically ill and
don't have the energy for their shit3. Tell them you aren't interested in their herbal remedies.
They can't handle
you sarcastically proclaiming
"we don't live in the dark ages
real medicine was invented
and it sure as hell isn't helping me either"4. Put them in their place when they say something ignorant.
They can't handle knowing
it isn't only the able bodied
who have a voice
