Hello I'm...

Hello I'm diganosed,
I bare the resilience of all
The weeping women before me,
I was given no choice but to become
A fighter,
But I'll still gladly take all the praise.

Hello I'm fibromyalgia,
I may be too young to have this,
But I do.
Illness never discriminates
The way people always do.
I've been stripped of my teen years
The college ones too,
But I'll be damned if I'll let it stop me,
Even when it does.

Hello I'm Chronically Ill,
It's nice to meet you.
I'd love to have you stay for a while
But if 'drug addict' or 'lazy'
Ever slip from your apathetic mouth
You won't deserve to be part of my life.
I'll have this till death does us part
But I'll never be either of those,
Even on the nights when I've
Spilled out the small white pills,
And the tears have puddled on the sheets.
