Zareen was shocked! She was stunt! She started shivering. She hided herself so that shaina could not catch her. She looked at shaina banging the cabinet door of kitchen.
zareen was sure that something is wrong with shaina. She wanted to ask her, she wanted to unfold the curtains that has concealed the truth, but she didn't. She waited for the right moment.
Meanwhile, asif knocked at the door so hard that zareen was enrage with fear and temptation. She ran towards the main door and opened it. Zareen took a sigh of relief and smiled at him.
"Oh, asif! I was so scared. Why were you knocking so hard? I was about to come na." She smiled gaily. But, asif was standing there, anger was filled in his blood. He was so fierce that he didn't speak a single word and rushed towards the main hall of the house and turned towards zareen and shouted without any single hesitation.
"Are you a kid to get scare? Are you a kid? You fool! You are just like typical indian women who watches indian television dramas and does cheap romance with their husband..and I did not knock hard! How rediculous you are!" His face was red and his voice strong enough to break someones heart! Zareen could not control it. She was spellbound! Tears were pouring down from her eyes. She was clutching her dupatta so hard that it teared off. She did not utter a word and rushed towards her bedroom. Shaina was watching the scene. She looked at zareen's overflowing tears. Shaina could not control it, she ran behind to console her.
Zareen was about to lock the door but shaina stepped inside the bedroom and hugged her. Shaina showed sympathy towards her. She touched her chin and kissed her on forehead. She brought a glass of water. Meanwhile, zareen was shivering hardly. Her lips were shaking and hands were trembling. Her eyes were unclosed, her heart was pounding furiously. She couldn't control the balance and she dropped the glass on the floor, the floor was covered with broken glass pieces and water. Shiana looked at her agitatedly,
With a trembling voice zareen asked.
"Sha..shhh..shaai..shaainaaahhh wha..whatt is happennninnggg?
Shaina pitied her. She tried to console her but in vain. She rubbed her palms. It was icy cold. Zareen's face was white and her eyes looked frozen. She immediately called asif and he came back rushing. At first zareen hesitated to talk with asif but later she just murmered words like 'don't be angry' 'please' 'I beg your pardon' 'please go away' her lips were still shivering. Asif looked numb. At first, He was speechless and disheartened. He realized his mistake and pitied her condition. Asif tried to console her but she remained aloof. Shaina thought to give them little privacy, thus she fled from the room. For a brief moment, zareen and asif were quite. They did not disturb each other. Asif was sitting on a couch and zareen was lying on a bed. Tears fell from her eyes. Her throat was dry and she was in need of water. Out of fear and enragement, her skin was hot like blazing fire. Asif was watching everything but he did not dare to touch her, niether thought to help her. Sometime in life, all we want is a person who can help us during a time of distress and discontenment, one who could comfort us with kindful words, one who could embrace us with kindful actions, one who could cross infinite horizons just to meet with us. All hopes were falling apart like leaves of a tree in winter. Zareen was watching asif. She could not believe her eyes. Her heart was aching, her body was tearing into pieces. She was murmuring 'water, asif I need water' but he didn't thought to glance at her once. Meanwhile, he gets a call and he too fled from the room.
Zareen tried to stop him but something chocked in her heart and she could not raise her voice. She cried, cried till her heart was at ease.
Zareen was still asleep. Silence colored thier house. There were no lights and zareen wakes up, She tries to switch on the lights, but they did not work. Zareen has never experienced out of electricity coverage since she shifted to thier new house. She looked at the full moon that was covered under the clouds, She also heard dogs barking in the street. She was scared, she started searching for the battery but could not find it. Meanwhile, she heard some blazing sound coming from the kitchen following by the burning smell! Out of fear and enragement, she jumped out of bed and stood on the floor where shattered pieces of glasses were spread, but poor zareen was unaware and within next pace her soles were beautify with blood. She cried for help but in vain. Because there were no one in the house who could hear her trembling voice. She was left all alone in the house.
Somehow she managed to rush towards kitchen and was shocked to watch the whole house set on fire!
