Mayuzumi Chihiro x Reader ~Melt~

'Hey.... You do remember about it right? About my promise...'

It's been a year since you transferred to Rakuzan. It's been a year since you met Mayuzumi and declared that you'll break his 'ice barrier' like what you did to your cousin. And it's been a year since you made a little 'crack' on his 'ice barrier'.

You sighed. The bell just rang. Signaling that all the students could eat their lunch right now. You tidy up your books, put it in your bag and grabbed you lunch and novel before heading to the rooftop. Somehow, it's became a daily routine for you and Mayuzumi to eat lunch at the rooftop. Eating and reading a novel at the same time in silent.

"Wew... you're fast." You commented. When you arrived, Mayuzumi was already there. Drinking his coffee while reading one of his favorite Author's light novel.

You sat beside him, opening your lunch and your novel. Reading, and eating, in silence.

'Last year... the first time we met... I made it crack,right? Your 'ice barrier'...'

"[Last Name]"

"Yes?"

You turned to Mayuzumi, who was putting his novel aside, gazing at the blue sky while the wind blown slowly. He bit his lower lips, which he never did before and it makes you a little bit worried. Is there something on his mind?

"When you said that you have a cousin with low presence, you meant Kuroko Tetsuya from Seirin,right?"

You stopped eating, nodding your head, "Yup, it's Tetsu-kun. What's wrong? Ah! You met him in Winter Cup,right? Tetsu-kun told me everything~" you teased.

Mayuzumi's expression changed. He looks pissed right now, "Yeah. And for some reason I'm kinda pissed with him."

"Of course you were. Tetsu-kun use you to gain the audience's attention." You laughed.

Mayuzumi flinched at your laugh. He heard it many times before. But he's pretty sure, he's heart just beating a little bit faster earlier. And somehow, he bet that he stopped breathing for a second. Mayuzumi grabbed his novel, opening a random page and use it to cover his cheeks and mouth. He swore that there's a hint of red right now.

"Oh, and also..."

'But right now, I don't think it's only a crack....'

"[Last Name].." Mayuzumi grabbed something from his pocket, and handed it to you, "Happy birthday."

Your eyes widen. With a slightly mouth open, you were taken aback. It was a nice wrapped gift. With a [Color] ribbon on top of it, you couldn't believe the one who gave it was Mayuzumi Chihiro in front of you.

Wait, Happy birthday?

"Mayuzumi-kun, what date is this?" You asked, tilted your head to the right in puzzlement.

"Hah? It's [Birthday date]. You forgot you own birthday?"

"Eh? Really?? Oh my god... I forgot my own birthday!" you exclaimed. But then suddenly it hits you. "But... how can you know my birthday date?"

Right now it's Mayuzumi's time to be taken aback.

"I... accidentally saw it in the teacher's room when I gave my Physics homework."

You nodded for a few times, and took the wrapped gift from Mayuzumi.

"Well then, thank you Mayuzumi-kun!" You grinned, the same grin you gave him a year ago. And once again, Mayuzumi bet that his mind was blank for a few seconds because of that.

You pack you lunch, grabbing your novel and your gift and stood up. Gazing at the blue sky above you like what he just did before. "Gotta back to the class~" You started walking to the door, while Mayuzumi back to reading his novel. But it didn't look like reading at all. He covers his whole face with the novel. So you only can see the covers."Ah, and Mayuzumi-kun,"

"Hm?"

"The only place you can search for the students data is in the Administration office, not in the teachers' room." You turned around, giving him your sweetest smile, "Thank you for doing some research for me."

'I made it melt~'

Behind his novel, Mayuzumi Chihiro was blushing madly.

After you left the roof top, Mayuzumi grabbed his phone. Dialing a number and place the electronics beside his ear, waiting for the other person on the phone to pick it.

"Hello Mayuzumi-san? Is there something I can help?"

"Ah no. It just... thank you for the information, Kuroko."
